  1. Just heard Calloway was fired. Would love to bring him in as our new Pitching Coach. There's the Cleveland connection and he did wonders with Carrasco and Kluber.
  2. Gaviglio had to have voted for himself haha
  3. Ughh.. Fisher is so painful to watch. The swing and miss is just too much.
  4. Exactly. There's a decent sample size of MiLB performance driving the opportunities presented to Fisher over Alford.
  5. MachBo Man, Rowdy's Nacho Libre, Blades of Glory, Jay & Silent Bob, and Reno Jansen are the GOATs
  6. Vladdy :,(
  7. http://jaysfromthecouch.com/2019/09/09/blue-jays-randal-grichuk-his-shrinking-strikeout-rate/ I wonder if Grichuk is sacrificing power/hard hit rate for more contact?
  8. Neither can I. Ughh he sucks so much..
  9. If he stays away from walks, he's a beast.
  10. Kay looking like primdle Liriano out there
  11. Yep. Looks way better than Thornton.
  12. Would you do 8/280? We have him until his age 36 season. The gamble is if he ages like Scherzer or falls off a cliff.
  13. The walk rate sucks, that's a fact, and is the reason his peripherals are what they are. That said, it's stuff is nasty and K rate is great. With an adjustment or 2, you could see why he was previously a top 100 guy and Zeuch never was.
  14. Looked awful there. That said, just 1 AB. We'll see how those peripherals look after this month. I'll be keeping an eye on the K rate specifically.
  15. f*** that noise lol, Font's been great for us. Dude is getting BABIP'd on well-located pitches. Amen.
  16. Same. I don't mind trying Zeuch as a long man, because he sucks, but I don't want to mess with Kay.
  17. I'm a hopeless optimist, piss off .
  18. Aaron Nola ceiling maybe?
  19. Yep, Nate YYZ, SWR, Manoah, & Kloff look like future top 50 prospects with their stuff, size, swing & miss, and control. Imagine signing Cole this offseason and backfilling with those above names over the next 1-3 years? Until then, you'd have Kay, Murphy, Zeuch, Thornton holding down the fort as cheap controllable 4/5 types.
  20. Looks like this could be his final line: 6IP, 5H, 3R, 2ER (credited the wild pitch to him), 1BB, 8K (89P 59K)
  21. Yep, 1st run caused by an error and 2nd caused by a wild pitch (who knows is a catcher at a higher level blocks it, but could be possible) So far. 5IP, 4H, 2R, 0ER, 1BB, 7K (78P 53S)
  22. Will be interesting to follow his progress over the winter. Hopefully he goes to driveline and works on the spin rate of his breaking pitches.

  24. I know one of his previous starts, he didn't even throw many sliders. Instead he opted to focus on his changeup. I think he knocked around a bit if I remember correctly, but he's definitely working on that 3rd pitch.
