  1. Maybe like Altuve?
  2. So don't need much more to get to 7M, pending that's the magic number.
  3. Could just add this season's wins to last season to determine the draft order?
  4. “Truth be told, I hate losing even more than I like winning. I just don’t like when people have an upper hand on me. In anything,” Martin said. “From on the field, to video games to card games with my 4-year-old sister. It doesn’t matter. I am there to win every single time. And I’ll let you know when I do it, too.” That part there ^ https://media.tenor.com/images/a823e1b6d167ebba7ea97b828d085557/tenor.gif
  5. Ah damn lol. Was hoping to tune in now for discussion
  6. Hey guys isn't coverage beginning now at 5pm? I can't find a stream on MLB's website?
  7. Wow! Kiley seems to think that even if Veen drops, we'd still prefer Meyer. Interesting. We must really love him.
  8. At this point I'd be surprised with anyone other than Veen or Meyer, which I'm stoked about. Those two are my favourite hitter and pitcher in the entire draft, so if we get either I'll be through the moon.
  9. Did Buehler have a strong a pitch mix om draft day? Also, Meyer is now actually 6'1 and over 200lbs. I believe Meyer himself confirmed this in one of his interviews, possibly the one with Jim Callis. So the height is pretty close now.
  10. Yep. More analytical teams looking into spin-rate and finding that he's not that elite in that and throws a sinking fastball instead of a riser, which is against the trend. Meyer having elite spin rates and velo is what's raising his stock so much. After watching a few interviews with him, he also seems just as obsessed with winning as Manoah was when we took him. There's also that fact he wants to learn and seems to have no clue about any of these pitching tools like rapsodo and the rest, so putting with people like Drive-line and letting him speak with Pearson could unlock a lot more in him.
  11. Same. I'd probably be most happy with Veen, but wouldn't be upset with any of those choices. Veen > Meyer > Gonzales > Hancock That's my preference.
  12. And those guys were 5'8. Meyer is 6'0. He's got 4 inches on them and an inch taller than Pedro.
  13. Draft the BPA always, never draft based on need or proximity to the majors. If the Jay's brass believe Veen or Gonzales can produce more WAR and value, year to year, than Hancock, then they should draft them.
  14. I'll be happy with any of Lacy, Veen, Gonzo, or even Meyer. I'm not as high on Hancock as others. Thanks for the detail. Didn't know if ever left FG.
  15. This is Kiley's BPA? He really likes Veen a lot. Higher than Lacy and Hancock and just under Tork/Martin/Gonzo.
  16. Interesting. Thanks for posting that. Would be happy with Gonzales or Veen. Meyer is a high potential pick, but his size worries me about his potential to maintain that velocity without flaming out early in his career like Lincecolm. Does he? I didn't know. I know he's a premier stat head in FG, but didn't think he had sources within teams themselves.
  17. I'm stoked, but it's also just one man's opinion, likely based on his own BPA analysis, who I don't believe has inside sources. Veen would be a wonderful get though.
  18. Hey bro would you mind posting the below from the Athletic? "Carlos Delgado 1-on-1: On Guerrero Jr., data, maintaining Hall of Fame hopes"
  19. Nick Gonzales. He looks so good and polished.
  20. I don't like the concerns on the secondaries as swing/miss offerings or about his fastball having little zip or movement. Nola is amazing and Hancock actually throws harder then him. That said, Veen's ceiling excites me more, if both are the BPA at 5.
  21. From what Carlos was saying about Hancock above, if he's the only one of the top 5 available when we pick, I want Veen instead.
  22. Yeah I agree. Based on what I've read and watched with my unqualified opinion, I like Veen a lot, maybe more than both pitchers and even Gonzales. 1) Austin Martin 2) Spencer Torkelson 3) Zac Veen/Nick Gonzales 4) Zac Veen/Nick Gonzales 5) Emerson Hancock 6) Asa Lacy I probably rank them like that. But I don't know s*** lol.
