Maybe, I mean, we can only hope! Maybe Stro thought he'd try it once more in the 1st inning, and, when that didn't work, they scrapped the philosophy?

So basically, Stro wants to get K's, but he trusts Martin and doesn't shake him off? I'm just curious because the game-calling has been completely different the past 2 innings compared every other inning I've seen from Stro this season. He's working up and in with 4SM, using 4SM for K's, using his breaking balls for strikeouts, etc.

Stro has looked much better the past 2 innings. Can Thole be his personal catcher from now on?

I know it's a joke, but Martin's peripheral decline this season in every category, and qualitative categories like "game-calling" and "pitch-framing" has been noticeable. If only Pentacost could stay healthy to give us some options.

Maybe. It did hit 94 mph though, which is usually where Stro tops out as a starter.

This is so stupid. Why the f*** is Stro pitching away from guys. Use all your pitches, up and down in the strikezone. This philosophy is terrible because Stro doesn't have the command of Greg Maddux.

I'm actually glad Stro is getting BABIP'd lately. The more this continues, the more likely he'll revert back to an effective philosophy.
