  1. Absolutely insane, especially since he has a low HR/9 as it is. It's basically the Carlos Carrasco momentous metamorphosis from 2009-2013 into the beast of 2014-Present.
  2. Went on a rant about guys swinging for homers with every swing while watching other power hitters like Cabrera and Ortiz go with the pitch and beat the shifts, but found today refreshing with JD, Bautista, and Pillar driving the ball where it's pitched.
  3. Zaun is spot on here.
  4. Hopefully he's able to fix that and begin to be the pitcher he was in 2014 again.
  5. Very good win! Very needed!
  6. Apparently Grilli and Walker were working with him this morning, as well, to see if he was doing something in his delivery to tip his pitches.
  7. Whatever mechanical/approach changes he may be trying have to get tested against that lineup . The bright side, is if he pulls a Sanchez (hell even 60% of that), then it can shake off a lot of concerns quickly.
  8. Looks like it's pure BABIP bad luck. I checked out his contact% and his soft% is way up with his med% and hard% down.
  9. Super strange, but really does further the notion of reliever volatility; as do the performances of Hendriks and Lowe. How do you ever know who to trust lol?
  10. Hung a slider there and got away with it
  11. The guy is losing potential FA money by the outing lol.
  12. Totally. Low 90s FB which he can't consistently control and a slider that he rarely ever hits the mark with.
  13. Storen is such a clown.
  14. Which seems weird to say lol. If not for Saunders' offense, I'd love to see Pompey in left.
  15. Velocity back down for Storen it seems.
  16. Wow I thought that was hit a lot harder lol.
  17. Big spot for Storen here facing this lineup.
  18. Lowe's fastball looks way down. EDIT: 3 mph down from last season.
  19. I wonder if the new front office will continue with the BPA mantra from the previous regime. I always loved the high risk/high reward method.
  20. Great approach JD, regardless of outcome. Can't say the same for Edwin.
  21. Thank you idiot fan!
  22. Yep. Regardless of outcome, that was a great move imo.
  23. Great decision from Gibbons regarding Dickey. Thank God he reacted quick.
