  1. Wow. This thread, jumped to end from page two....really hits a degree change
  2. Rule 5s must stay on 25 man roster, not 40 man. Taking 3 and holding all for the entire season on 25 man is a slim shot at best
  3. The $150 promo package is great. Will be delivered to home address is two shipments, one in each half of season. $150 for two replica jerseys and 8 bobbleheads, no brainer.
  4. Just the sheer logic of Bautista or EE leading off over Pillars speed and improving batting at this stage in all 3 carreers is absurd. Wilner should be embarassed for suggesting it
  5. Lorianwas a shill for the commish and took on the Expos as a favour/test of his committment to MLB. Hes a f***ing joke of shill....Shapiro is a manfred guy... Another shil.
  6. Club level and jacked for spring training
  7. Whomever Shapiro hires as GM will be a puppet... Shapiro picks the manager
  8. Ya sorry the dynamic pricing, aka pyramid scale, less avail the higher the price Should say of instead that it will hurt the band wagon fan or last minute buyers most
  9. Noticed a $220 refund to visa on oct 26. Never requested it, they originally told me any unused tickets would be used against my 2016 seasons....not sure why money was refunded. Just want to know the f***ing cost increase, was anticipating $6500-7000 for a pair in 200s, really love them. Think they will do 20% increase or more on a couple categories. the premium pricing structure in 2016 or 2017 will hurt the common fan and make the Stub Hub sellers a fortune.
  10. Maybe Shapiro recognizes the gift horse of a team hes been handed and seizes the day. only a moron could manage to not be a contender in 2016 with the parts and budget at hand. Shapiro is clearly not a moron, his employers are. Pretty safe bet if Jays are better than 50-51 at break and the seats are selling, theres more money to spend. Even so, $140m is enough to win a WS.
  11. Commercial breaks were 3:15 in postseason, as opposed to 1:50 in regular season. They added a couple of Barry davis hits, but pretty much the rest of rogers amd sportsnet promos.
  12. Also remember money profitted in 2015 success, doesnt automatically go to spend in 2016. It all eventually goes to rogers bottom line and share holders. The formula for 16 will be based on the success of 15 with protections against major losses should the team tank. Also...tv spots for the postseason were sold months ahead of the august turnaround....companies just dont sit on millions of advertising dollars and the Jays cant simply charge more for sudden success. They have cpntracts. Whatever they do, im 100% positive the budget for 2016 has already been decided, and was much sooner than the first game of postseason. Thats just the way it is. FA opens 4-5 days after world series...so budgets and planning started weeks months before this
  13. ' Im with you. They still have to pay off that NHL contract which only increases every season. Cant wait for spring training, booking flights as soon as the spring sked is finalized
  14. Some things to consider...Jays budget will be based on three factors... Season tickets sold (before the start of FA) TV contract money Shared revenue plan They can only build a budget based on guaranteed income. When dealing with the USD-CDN they will have to plan on worst case scenario of approx 25%, maybe more maybe less. Cant just say we will $140m without some assurances theres a break even point. Any increase to whatever budget they set will change in season based on performance and addition revenues. Guessing a start In the $140m range...Jays only added 5000 season tickets max, it was 3500 the day postseasons went on sale. Of those, a certain % will think the $500 deposit for seasons was the cost of getting postseason tickets and wont mind saying goodbye to that deposit.
  15. I am a huge Bello fan, would never of guessed he would blossom, still love him, domt trade him. Reality is he doesnt have a long MLB resume.
  16. Some realities... Hague is a AAAA player, not MLB level. Bello is a pro hitter, but likely wont get much on trade market... Thole as backup lol. Carry on.

  18. Jays avg in first half of season was 300.000-400,000. Skewing 65%+ 27-54. Those are good totals, but bad demos. The 2nd half of season was obviously higher total viewers, but the demo stayed relatively the same. I would argue that the contract is worth more to Rogers on inhouse value, than total dollars on the open market. Roges had an enormous opportunity to cross promote Jays and NHL plus their other non sports properties. Added value in MLBtv and MLB network subscriptions. But mostly Having the Jays get huge ratings on SNET will allow Rogers to petition a higher charge per viewer as determined by CRTC. They already counted on that increased $$$ when they bought NHL..now the Jays success will only improve their argument for increased pricing on Snet to other cable/sat providers. A competitive Jays team is a valuable asset for Rogers, they can see that clearly.
  19. No such thing as clutch, its been proven.
  20. Lets throw it back down to Blue Jays super fan Barry Davis at field level
  21. Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere... Since Tulo is a 5+ signed to a longterm contract, does He have the right to request a trade or be granted FA at end of season?
  22. Ooga Chuka Ooga Chuka Ooga Chuka
  23. You can watch batting practice, not sure how long they will let you lurk
  24. There is a $42.99 single in 243 right now
