Call up pompey and move either bautista to DH or 1B it is a no brainer. Smoak is not good enough for an everyday 1st Baseman. If this org keeps him around they are total suckers

    God I can't stand the infatuation with prospects that this org use to have, I hope we dont go back to the days getting excited over prospects. Only so much hype and failure we can take.

    I've been on the record saying I don't like Bautista personally as a man, but i liked the bat flip. Gossage comes off as a total self-absorbed moron here. Side note is Gossage a f***ing drunk? Is he autistic?

    I like EE but Bautista is my priority (assuming the 150 figure is a joke) If Bautista isnt happening EE needs to happen but again within limits. Guy will be 33, defensive liability and has had nagging injuries. Id go 3/65 or 4/80 but that is it. I hate to say this but it if colabellolololo hits 850 OPS id rather keep him around for DH work next year and split him with smoak or something. The saved money goes into donaldson and stroman who to me are far more important.

    While this is obviously a troll post, I never fully understood how "leagues" could rig the games (except for in reffing) It would be near impossible to get the players involved without them leaking that they were payed off, and yet losing teams always think this. Biases do exist on 50/50 calls but besides that it is very hard to rig anything, too many variables in sports like baseball. For true rigged matches you need 1 on 1 type sports like boxing or tennis

    Are people forgetting that Bautista will be 36.5 when April 2017 starts? It's not like he has a injury free history. He seems to have back issues every other year. He really shouldn't have that much leverage unless there are some really dumb GMs out there. I've said this before, I'd much rather tie up my money in Donaldson/Stroman in 2-3 years than be lugging a 25/30 million declining Bautista. He is also a pompous dick and while the bat flip was sick, he is so frustrating to watch when he is at bat complaning all the time. Whiny needs to either put up 5 WAR this year to even have a chance at at 100+ contract.

    Jose is such an unlikeable guy when he isn't producing I really don't care about an aging defensive liability. He is a good bat but he is always having back problems I'd go 3/65 with a fourth year team option or 4/80 and akin to jose "wouldn't budge" he defintely thinks he is worth a 5/110 or 4/95, maybe even more also there never was a discount he gave us, dude came the f*** out of nowhere and hit 52. i didn't want the deal at the time but he shut me up. I sincerely believe he is on something (not roids) but some drug gave him more quickness or something. I still can't believe that until age 30 he was a joke s*** player. Give the saved money to donaldson for like an 8/200 or something

    f*** AA Honestly we had a good run this past 3 months and he leaves on a high note to get big money elsewhere Dude was here for 6 years guys and we made it once and almost zero until rogers let him collect big time players (tulo, price) He made the playoffs with a top 10 payroll, hes not a friedman
