I get that the smart money doesn't go in the pen, but the Jays need to figure out a way to develop guys that throw 97+, with a strikeout secondary pitch, and throw strikes...or find them in other organizations and get them here. Thornton, Saucey and the like are not the answer.

The most pressure has been on the Leafs for years. I think they finally get the monkey off their back this year...but it's so close between these teams anything can happen. Campbell needs to be Grade A Campbell and their big boys need to show up. If both of those things happen they have a real good shot.

Tampa has won their last 16 games after a loss in the playoffs. The Leafs last 4 series have gone the distance. Never guaranteed it would go 7, just saying there are trends and streaks that are currently underway. You need to settle down.

Might have dodged a bullet actually. Anyone who falls in love with Cleveland to the point where they'd sign a deal like that must have a screw loose. Not sure you want that in the clubhouse. -
