I don't particularly care if it works out for the A's. Look at what happened in the Dickey deal when one of the players worked out well for them. We've been going on about that deal for almost a decade. I'd rather have a Donaldson situation where we're the clear winners.

BA has us locking up 2nd rounder Josh Kasevich for $997,500 ($219,200 under slot) AND 7th rounder Peyton Williams for $197,500 ($13,000) under slot. Just leaves Brandon Barriera and 9th rounder Devereaux Harrison to lock up for the first 10 rounds. We have just shy of $3.8m to sign both (that includes the 5% overage).

I haven't heard anything specific but my gut tells me that we'll need $3.6m+ to sign Barriera. But I could be completely off and he signs for slot.

Ya. Their number for Jennings is off from other #'s I've seen.

For arguments sake, if the Jays signed 2nd rounder Kasevich, 7th rounder Williams, 9th rounder Harrison for slot, they would be able to give Barriera just over $3.4M (that includes the 5% overage). I'm guessing there are still more savings that we'll see though.
