Likely accurate though. -
Just make the clock reviewable, so if there's a technical glitch, like we saw the other day (with the clock not restarting) it can be caught and corrected. If you start messing around with the rule (the clock only matters sometimes) then it loses credibility. Everyone knows what the rules are. If you break them, you get penalized. The only time I would have an issue is a technical issue with said clock.

They'll just push the new time limit to the brink. If you give them 30 minutes between pitches they f*** around for 29 minutes and 58 seconds.

More rare, but based less on talent or skill than a perfect game. A goalie scoring a goal is very random and the stars aligning to where the goalie gets the puck and has a clear shot at the opposing net. Usually the goalie doesn't get the time or opportunity to get one down there.

Inflation. That McDavid deal was signed several years ago. McDavid would get $15M today.

Matthews starts at $13M+ AAV. I don't think he's going to sign for 8 years. I see maybe 3-4 years, then go for a massive deal when he's in his late 20's. The NBA model. Nylander is going to want $10M+ AAV. If you can get him under $10M AAV I think you're doing well. He just keeps getting better every year. He probably still hasn't even hit his ceiling yet.
