  1. I'd rather he apologize for being s*** at his job.
  2. I wonder how nerves could affect the knuckler. It's already a finicky pitch as it is... Man oh man...Today might just give me a coronary.
  3. Welcome to our judicial system.
  4. So this is a typical thing then?
  5. The rules haven't changed. You're arguing about the timing of the discipline. Why you mad bro?
  6. Yes. They had to add the wording into the rules cause contact to the head was never illegal. The difference here is that there are already rules against this type of dangerous play. Your argument is that since it hasn't been strictly enforced in the past, they're not allowed to do it now. Why? Because it's the playoffs? So now LA loses Utley for 2 games? How about the fact that it's Utley that screwed the Mets with his slide/tackle? The wording is already in there...everyone should know that this is an illegal play. We all know you can basically go 115 km/h when you're on a highway and never get a ticket...but if all of a sudden people started getting pulled over for going 5 over, maybe people would be pissed...but the 100 max is posted...just cause it's never really been enforced that doesn't mean that can't if they decide they want to start. The timing of it is irrelevant.
  7. How do you change the behaviour without discipline...
  8. Yup. Let's let the inmates run the asylum. Good idea. It's a dirty slide...and it's unfortunate that discipline hasn't been handed down in the past. This is like hits to the head in hockey. It used to just be view as a good, hard hit with no penalty...but boy has that changed.
  9. I understand what his intention was, but starting your slide once you've basically already passed the bag? No.
  10. I'm curious where that 85% comes from. If accurate, I'm very surprised...and disappointed.
  11. If Price doesn't have it again, it would be nice to have Stroman ready for Game 5 as well. Do what you need to do to win game 4, but let's see what happens in the game before we pencil in who's pitching tomorrow, after The Dick.
  12. I don't think you can make that call the day before. If the Jays light up Holland and have a 10-0 lead through 5, you're not gonna go to Price just cause. If Dickey is just mowing them down and looks lights out I have a short leash, but I'm not going to Price...not unless I need to. If things are going well I leave Dickey in there and if I don't need Price or Stroman, I don't use them...It would be nice to have them both ready for Game 5 should it play out.
  13. If this Catcher's balk causes broken bones then yes. I've never seen a violent balk before but maybe you have. Have a clue. We're talking about player safety, and reckless play...and your argument is a balk? GTFO!
  14. 1. They held him back to give him a bit more rest and not risk injury in his last start. 2. He's never been effective in post-season. Was he injured then too? He was jacked up/nervous and it showed. His stuff was good...his command was way off. 3. They warmed him up cause Cecil is out, Loup was already used, and a bunch of lefties were coming up and if things went south, they wanted to be able to react. 4. Gibby said he'd talk to Price and expects that he should be fine to come in for game 4 if they need him. Besides, if they got him up tonight, then clearly he's healthy enough to pitch tomorrow...the only way he wouldn't is if he came in and pitched tonight.
  15. If Dickey is cruising do you still yank him after 4/5 just cause?
  16. I think we're all afraid of that...but I really don't think Gibby will let it get there. If it starts to look rough, he'll yank Dickey and get Price or Stroman in there.
  17. Gibby said Price was going to come in if things got a bit hairy. Price should be good to go for tomorrow...but if not, Gibby said they can always use Stro tomorrow if need be then come back with Price in Game 5, if they get there.
  18. His slide was an intent to injure. It's a suspendable offence. The fact that it's happened in the past without suspension doesn't mean you're not allowed to suspend going forward. There should have been more suspensions in the past...and it's never too late to correct bad past decisions. Again...f*** Utley!
  19. http://fitfulfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/leonardo-dicaprio-celebrate-gif.gif
  20. Fastball fastball fastball fastball fastball.............
  21. f*** Utley! I'm glad he got suspended.
  22. If he comes in to face one or two batters I'm pretty sure than won't kill him from pitching in Game 5.
