    We should have a thread that lists everyone that the Jays are linked to and then see how often they're actually signed. This is just more leverage for Greinke.

    Home grown talent. I don't have these numbers but my guess is the teams with lower payrolls that were successful had way more home grown players than the Jays. Jays lost patience and decided to buy players... For the most part. Not saying it's wrong... Just a faster and more expensive approach.

    It's possible. But i can live with that because it's our of their control. I just want them to put themselves in a position to pick high... And be horrible enough that the trade deadline is littered with them acquiring picks for veteran depth going the other way. It'll be up to the scouts to cash in on some of the extra 2nd, 3rd, 4th rounders.

    Pretty much. I don't see the payroll going up (possibly down)...I see value deals filling out the roster and replacing who is lost.

    Of course we have a shot. Rogers is loaded. And when i say adding anyone of consequence I'm talking this off-season and adding a significant course piece. Not an aging veteran for 2-3 years. The talk about Price, Davis, Heyward.... No chance anyone likes that ends up here.
