I'm not gonna rank Sanchez, mainly cause I just don't want to put that much thought into it, but no, one start hasn't changed my mind much.
It hasn't changed my mind because what i thought of Sanchez was this.
Kid has a great arm. The fastball/sinker is stellar. His curveball has flashed plus. His changeup has flashed average.
His command has been an issue... One start doesn't change that... It just shows that if he gets into a groove with his command, the stuff plays beautifully.
His inability/unwillingness to throw his secondary stuff is a problem, especially if he wants to start. Gotta work on it if you want it to get better. He used it much more in start 1, and it was very effective. That's a great sign.
Even the shittiest of starters can have great games... Who's that piece of s*** that threw a no-no...or was it a perfect game, for Oakland a few years ago?
This is a great first step for Aaron.... But the journey is as long one.
