  1. Pompey's out every few weeks with something new.
  2. Brandon League.
  3. Still early.... But how long until the discussion starts regarding having Stro follow Hutch's path back to Buffalo.
  4. Being flamboyant and cocky only works when you can back it up. The only thing Stro is backing up is onto a cock.
  5. I'd love to play fantasy baseball in a league you're in.
  6. I've seen conflicting numbers posted. But worst case, we should have an extra $114k to throw at the very $100k were already allowed to offer.
  7. Let's take this series and move on.
  8. We can still offer $305k to him (assuming our last top 10 round pick signs for slot).
  9. If you insist on BA... Barney is not a .300 hitter. Tulo is not a sub-.200 hitter. Tulo has always been an .800+ OPS guy with stellar D. I'd rather have me at the plate hitting .500 over either of those guys, but the odds are that won't happen. Tulo has proven himself over many years to be a far superior player to Barney. Both players have been in the league long enough that you know what they are.
  10. 4/50 sounds like it's in the right ballpark.
  11. Are there still people that use batting average to gauge performance?
  12. Ya. I was hoping for a couple of throw away College picks (as much as Graveman and Girodo were throw away picks) and try to pool some money together for high ceiling player. Guess those days are over. 'Give us all your College players'
  13. Nevermind. I mucked up the Kirby Snead sitiation.... But basically, if we really have a hard-on for Snead we can offer him $156,600 + $205,365 = $361,965 Of if he signs for slot we have an extra $205K to throw at someone in that Round 11-40 group, beyond the $100,000./
  14. Correct me if my math is wrong... Slot value for 1st 10 rounds if I add it up is $6,603,300 Add a 4.9999% overage to that and it brings us to $6,933,465 The deals for the first 10 rounds is $6,428,100 Leaving $505,365 Travis Hosterman signed for $400,000 in the 11th round...which is $300,000 over the allowed $100,000 for each pick from round 11-40.' That takes our remaining to $205,365. Sound about right?
  15. You tell me if this is a good...or bad start.... Scott Diamond so far today... 4.1IP, 13H, 8R, 8ER, 0BB, 6K.
  16. Jon Harris looking good again today. 4IP, 3H, 1R, 1ER, 5K. Gotta be heading up to Dunedin soon you'd think.
  17. Another tweet came out after that saying it had been moved, not cancelled. Posted it in the generic thread.
  18. Just pull the bandaid off. No need to baby the likely outcome. Bautista, Edwin, Saunders, Cecil, Storen...could all be gone. I think Saunders is the most likely to re-sign because of the Canadian thing...but to me it's really 50/50. Cecil is probably 45/55 to re-sign I think. The other three will walk. Not sure why I'm including Storen in the list because...who cares really...but ya, I'm not expecting this to be an off-season where we retain much of our talent. What we replace it with...who knows....but if we view Price as being replaced with Happ, I think that tells you what you need to know. We'll look for 'good value'. So, no stars, but solid contributors. And that's ok I guess...it's just not as sexy when you have less star power.
  19. Because he was right on the money...and many were way wrong.
  20. I hate that f***ing **********. Bends, but doesn't break, just like a whore should.
