    Velocity is absolutely a thing. If you're going in for 1 inning you can give max effort this can mean 2-3 mph more jump on the FB. You don't really see Sanchez sitting 97-99 as a starter. Pretty sure you don't see Jesse Chavez sitting mud 90s as a starter either.

    Never heard of a World Series of Farming before. I bet if there was one, the competitive juices would start flowing and they'd all be trying to get the finest tractors money could buy to one up the competition.

    Montero has taken only 12 walks this year. Not a great sign.

    I don't disagree. I guess I'm just used to what they did under AA over the past bunch of years. The top prospects stayed at AA. When they'd get called up from AA, it would almost assuredly be to Toronto. When they'd eventually fail and need to go down for seasoning, it would be to AAA...not back to AA. Maybe they will give Tellez some time in AAA to play with the crafty, grizzled veterans a bit and see where he stacks up.

    They probably only knew how to spot HS talent. SOL for us.

    Rowdy only turned 21 this season. Plus, I don't think the move from AA to AAA means what it used to. AAA is mainly for AAAA players. The best pure talent seems to be at AA.

    ??? Good riddance? He did a very solid job. A couple of mistakes. Aside from that, good outing. Hutch is much maligned, but he's much better than a lot of people give him credit for.
