They won't. I was never completely convinced that the offense was going to be as substantial as some others. Half the lineup is very effective, the other half is abominable. And there's no depth guys that we can turn to that are any better. -

I was surprised at Winnipeg getting a team back. Helps when the richest man in the country owns the franchise.

It was a stupid trade. I agree. They should've had a fire sale at the deadline. I honestly feel like this is a rudderless ship right now. I don't see what direction they're going in at all.

There's no corporate money in Halifax. That's not even a discussion worth having. Quebec? Maybe, but they already failed there once...and it is a small market that is further down the pecking order...more cities out there with a lot more corporate money. Unfortunately they're all in the US but this is what the owners and Bettman want. And what they want, they get.

There was a vote yesterday for a new arena for Arizona. They had 3 proposals, all three were voted down. NHL will be meeting with Arizona soon to discuss next steps. It's pretty clear Arizona doesn't want an NHL franchise. Bettman not accepting this is frustrating. Admit you made a mistake and move on.
