I believe where there's smoke there's fire. Even if things didn't play out exactly that way, I'm confident that there is stupidity there.

Wow. What an embarrassing little bitch.
  5. That's a smile I don't want to see again.
  6. Gibby is only 56? f***! Would've guess 10 years older.
  7. Too early to tell as you can only tell so much from short-season ball...but he did have a pretty strong season. Assuming he's in Lansing next season, we should have a much better idea.
  8. It's ok. I'm a dad. I'm expected to fill a daily quota of bad puns.
  9. It's more like, Where would you rather live, Canada or the US? That's how a lot of them see it. Canada is a foreign country.
  10. Of the reported finalists, are there that you absolutely DO NOT want getting the job?
  11. Lame. Be a man and don't have one.
  12. The Marlins will apparently be holding a press conference on Monday to announce that they have signed the Mesa brothers
  13. I wander if he'll still be better than Vladdy by the time he gets to AA.
  14. I'm gonna go with no, just because of math. What are the odds that Vladdy's bat, as promising as it appears, is actually as good (or better) than one of the best bats of this generation. Could it happen? Sure...but that's an insanely high bar to reach.

Better than anyone is expecting. Ask again in January.

Not a pretty win. Raps showed flashes but also looked sloppy for long stretches. I have confidence that they'll put it together with some more games under their belt.

Dubas on his way to Switzerland to meet with Nylander and his reps.
  18. What law says they have to be called up? We all know that they're kept down due to service time. Proving it is another thing. It's a subjective thing. The organization can pick one or two weaknesses (everyone has them) and say they wanted player X to work on that. Done.

...as with many abusive relationships. I tend to believe in the 'where there's smoke there's fire' analogy. Regardless, Emery was not a good dude. There's more than enough evidence of that. And just because he's gone we shouldn't forget that, as many would want you to do.

I hate HF Boards, but they're not wrong. The hit was fine, the slam to the ice was excessive, but I don't think it's a suspendable offence. 2 minutes for roughing. That's what 2 and 5 minute penalties are there for...for infractions that cross the line but not egregious. Disagree? That's fine. The league might disagree as well seeing as there's a hearing. I guess we'll see. If there isn't then there you have it. Hockey is a very, very physical sport. People are going to get hurt...might as well get rid of boxing or MMA then. If the goal is to turn then NHL into a perpetual All-Star game where no one hits anything and there's no aggression in the sport, then it's not something I'm interested in seeing. Hockey is an aggressive sport. Yes, the slam was over the line, but I guess it's just a matter of how far over the line. To me a penalty for roughing would've been enough...but I will acknowledge that the league is trending towards IIHF type officiating where anything that's very aggressive is strongly frowned upon. Doesn't mean I have to like it.
