    Because I saw the writing on the wall in 2017 and 2018 and those teams were balls. Patchwork roster doesn't work. Get rid of dead weight, stock up on prospects, and get the youth movement going. That 'keep asses in the seats' nonsense pissed me off and I wanted the losing to be pronounced (as I expected it would be) so they would finally pull the trigger on a full rebuild...which we finally are in now. It's not really a difficult concept to understand. I don't want the organization to try and feed me ********.

    Not sure you understand what hope means. I 'think' they will be s*****... Because I don't think the talent currently on this team is good enough. Doesn't mean I want them to be s*****.

    I'd be more than happy to see that. Considering that we've got a much younger roster that would likely mean that their development is coming along very well and they're producing.

    Ya. That's one thing that's really lacking. Tons of signings and only a few of them disclose the actual amount. Correct me if I'm wrong but any signing under $10K doesn't count towards the bonus pool?

    I appreciate the Oriole dissing. Was just defending my Jays wins prediction. If we can find some pitching for next season I think we can start seeing some results as early as 2020...I'm really eager to see how SRF, Perez, Paulino, Borucki, Pearson, Murphy, Thornton, et al do this season.

    They were already awful last season (115 losses). The Jays beat them 14 times if I'm not mistaken, and they were still only able to get 73 wins. The Jays are not better this season... And there's no guarantee they're going to beat up on Baltimore. The Orioles are going to win some games... Not many... But some. And some of those are going to come against the Jays. We can revisit in October and see how it played out. We both have our own theories.

    What hate? I've been a fan since '85. Love this team. But I'm not gonna fool myself into believing something I don't believe. This is a bad team. Will they get better? Yes. They're headed in a very positive direction... But the record will be bad this season. They're just not a good ML club today.

    This team is nowhere near the mid 80s in wins. It would be a small miracle if they cracked 75.

    Still worth it. Put faith in your scouts and development system. Also, picking higher gives you a lot more draft pool money to play with. Gives you so much more flexibility within the draft. Not sure but doesn't it also impact your IFA signing bonus pool too (where you finish in the standings). These are all things that if used correctly, help a rebuild tremendously.
