Before the world implodes... Columbus was up 2-0 against Washington last year too. This is far from over.
  3. And he asked to keep the ball. That's great cause either he's a real good sport... Or he's gonna sacrifice it to Jo-Bu.

    f*** LeBron. f*** the Lakers.
  5. Not everyone. Go look at some of the predictions for the Jays record. Even mine looks awfully optimistic at this point.

I wonder how much bread he actually eats.
  9. Bonus Pools for the next signing period... https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2019-20-mlb-international-bonus-pools/ Jays @ $5,398,300
  10. That's nice and all, but it's not Rowdy Tellez power.

    They'll be fine. It's not a 4-1 lead
  13. Maybe he's a vigilante going after wife beaters.
  14. Quit living in the past. Tonight he's not going past 5.
  15. Is Sanchez physically capable of going more than 5 innings?
  16. Not only that... It was third base that he stole.
  17. That's exactly the point. Owners are tired of bad contract after bad contract. They are not obligated to continuously hand them out. This might actually be the first step in a salary cap (and floor). If the players want a specific % of revenues then some risk has to be removed from the owners. I can see them putting a cap in number of years, capping the actual salary for a given player...and capping the salary for an entire team. To counter that, there should also be a floor that teams have to hit. Maybe the range is $120-$200M per team (just throwing out numbers). So there's guaranteed money in the system, and organizations are protected a bit more from your Prince Fielder, Chris Davis, Albert Pujols deals.
  18. Market correction. FAs were cleaning up for years. Now, teams are finally realizing that the smart money is on locking up younger players. The younger player doesn't need to sign these deals. They can bet on themselves if they want and use every tool that they bargained for in the CBA. But if they want guaranteed money, this is what it is. I have no problem with it. And in a market like Toronto, we should pray that salaries don't continue to sky rocket cause Rogers ain't gonna pay it.
  19. "We're striking cause we're signing deals, without coercion, that maybe we shouldn't sign. We're stupid! Let's strike!"
  20. This. Show me the gun to his head and I'll change my stance. AA is just doing his job...and very well.
  21. Similar name to Jon Bernthal. He's already ahead of the game.

He likes the LA Kings from the western conference because they own the Leaf 1st round pick in this draft...and he will be praying that they land a franchise altering player with that pick so he can remind Leafs fans about it for years.
  24. Dead arm is very common in April. Might be that.
  25. I noticed that a couple days ago too and couldn't find s*** anywhere.
