    Because he's a blue collar hard worker and many Canadians relate everything to hockey. And in hockey, the grit grinders are loved. The "heart and soul" guys. The guys that show that extra hustle will always receive extra love from Canadian fans... Whether it's warranted or not... Maybe it's not fair to lump just Canadians into that group but I'm pretty sure it's an accurate assessment. I've had more arguments over the past 24 hours about Pillar being moved than I can count. Casuals don't give a s*** about results and productivity... As long as their "favorites" are around, that's all they care about. They all need to be loaded into a cannon and fired into the sun.

    The parity is certainly something to behold. The only saving grace is that, barring injury, that was the last time you'll see Sparks this season.....and possibly ever in a Leafs uniform.
