It's pretty simple. There's really no threat of them extending Stroman I don't think. So the leverage is the same as or was before this report.

Where did I say he was getting moved for less that market value. I'm saying this new threat of extending won't change what that market value is.

There's no Chicken Little going on. The point is, he's getting dealt in the next few days. They're not gonna wait cause his value goes down. They're not gonna extend him cause Stro has already said there's been zero interest. This additional posturing is just a waste of time and makes no difference.

Zero additional leverage using the 'we'll extend him' threat. Everyone knows that won't happen.

Zero leverage. Everyone knows that the Jays haven't even approached Stro about a contract. However, if Stroman could keep his mouth shut then maybe they would've had a bit of leverage. Only way I see the Jays not moving Stroman is if Rogers stepped in and said, "the casuals are angry. Extend him."
