Dasan Brown debuted yesterday. 1 for 3 (triple). Followed that up with another 1 for 3 (double) today.

You're right. He shouldn't. But I know there have been plenty of players that have wanted their previous teams to do well in a deal with them as a gesture to their fans. It's not a foreign concept. But you're absolutely right. Stroman wouldn't be that guy.

If he gave a s*** about the fans, like he says he does, then he'd do what's best for them... Which is shutting the f*** up and letting the team maximize the return for him.

Lol. I've been one of Shapiro's biggest critics on the boards. Rogers implemented the 5 year max contact policy after Vernon Wells went so badly. Rogers cut Ricciardi legs out from under him and vetoed at least a couple of moves he wanted to make, before they ended up canning him (and I didn't like Ricciardi either). Rogers wouldn't give AA the go ahead to sign (I think it was Edwin Jackson) years ago, and that's when he was forced to start asking other players to defer money so he could scrape up enough to sign him. Didn't work. They've interfered with their GMs in the past. I'm sure there are other examples I'm forgetting about. -

He doesn't. But it just shows what he is. An attention whore. If he gave a s*** about the team or the fans, like he says he does, then he would keep quiet and let the organization try to get as good a deal as possible for him. Is he obligated to do so? No. But some people just act with class cause it's the right thing to do. The organization has never publicly said anything negative about him. They've never negotiated or done anything through the media with regards to Stroman. Too bad Stro and his massive ego can't say the same.
