  1. LOL. f***ing Doolittle!
  2. It opened in June 1989.
  3. Is it an excessively long period that Groshans has been out with this foot injury or is it just me?
  4. Nats up 6-3 going to the bottom of the 9th. Stro primed to take the loss. This pleases me because...f*** him.
  5. Hope there's a segment that covers the banning. That would be comedy gold.
  6. Borucki out for the season. Had surgery to clean up the bone spurs in his elbow. Could've been a lot worse.
  7. Except with Brett Cecil.
  8. Chisholm says it was just a cramp.
  9. https://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/opinion/2019/08/08/jays-boss-mark-shapiro-shows-numbers-dont-lie-if-you-pick-them-carefully-enough.html On paper, the Jays have more payroll flexibility than any team in the league but there’s no guarantee that Rogers intends to spend that money. Shapiro was pressed multiple times to provide specifics on how much the team is willing to spend this winter and the answer wasn’t inspiring. “The only directive from ownership is to run a business that doesn’t lose money, which means obviously payroll’s going to reflect revenue and revenues are down because attendance is down,” Shapiro said. “Part of the plan from day one, and part of the understanding, has been that there will be a time that we need to outspend, outpace revenue with spending on players.” Hmm, where have we heard that before? Oh right, the language might be different, but the messaging is the same as what used to be preached by former president Paul Beeston. The support from ownership is there, he claimed. When the team starts winning, and fans start showing up, Rogers will respond by committing money to ensure sustained success.
  10. WTF is this weirdness?!? Here's my solution. Stop acting like a couple of teenage ****s. Life isn't this hard...and posting on a baseball forum is even less hard.
  11. He was only behind Alomar in the early 90s.
  12. Grichuk K's a lot. You don't get credit for calling it.
  13. One of these days a board member will die (or is it pass away)... And we'll be fortunate that a thread already exists that we can just bump.
  14. Good luck in your quest to be a martyr. Noble goal.
  15. Agreed. Pretty sure we've all been Jays fans long enough to know what won't happen (ie. High end FAs won't sign here).
  16. Not liking the Jays trades this deadline is one thing...But if you're gonna use (career sub .600 OPS before 2019) Urshela to make your argument against Atkins then whatever credibility you had is now gone.
  17. He doesn't have a good arm. But I agree with the rest. After a terrible start he's been quite good.
  18. It's amusing that the haters have given up on Fisher 2 seasons after being a Top 100 prospect yet are vomiting from anger over losing Sanchez who's been a f***ing dumpster fire for 3 seasons.
  19. I do. Obviously I want our young kids doing well, but I think our rotation is so bad that they will keep us in the Top 5 pick position.
