Anything's possible. He might just have something figured out where he's really tough to read and is able to fool guys with smoke and mirrors. I feel that eventually the puzzle is solved on those guys. We'll see.
Ya. There's nothing about his stuff that screams exceptional. Have there been other players that carved out good careers with below average stuff? Sure. But it's not a big number. I don't think the odds are in his favour. And I look forward to the Jays facing him again.
I just want them to lock up home ice. Rest whoever needs it, but get that home ice. I don't really have preference who they play in round 1, but part of me would like it to be Boston. Want to slay that Dragon.
It really does make it less enjoyable when umps take results out of the players hands and place it in their own. Pitchers should have to earn their strikes. I wish MLB would realize it's a big problem.
