Modern baseball has evolved to protect starters and create these bullpens with less talented pitchers so they can come as 7th and 8th inning set up pitchers before the closer. Perhaps the Blue jays should work on a more ancient formula where the starter goes 8 innings and have two closers (Osuna and Cecil) the rest use them as middle relievers when the starters failed. We can not win is we lose the games we are winning after 7 innings.
