  1. Sign Syndergaard- he needs to come back to his draft team- and resign Semien and Matz. Shore up 3B through trade or FA. Elite team.
  2. Hey man, I'm a Mormon, so seeing him ingest was a slight upon god in my books.
  3. Halladay's not as righteous as he appears at first sight. I remember during the Burnett days watching a game where they panned to the dugout and Halladay was accepting a huge wad of chewing tobacco from Burnett. Not that it's illegal or anything, but it was surprising to see. For some reason I thought he would be above that, lol.
  4. I wish I never found out about Halladay's twitter. In my mind, he used to conjure up the image of a greater than human force that was to be admired and revered. Now that I read his tweets and see he is on the threshold of being illiterate, it has knocked down his image a few pegs. He really is just a guy who threw a baseball really really well and not much else...
  5. Good to see Tulo mingling with teammates. Makes it seems like he might actually enjoy being a Blue Jay this season. Maybe his next step is using "we" instead of "they" or "them" when referring to the team in interviews.
  6. With the Red Sox improving markedly this offseason, it would be nice to see Toronto management show they're serious about contending by making a move like this. If we remain idle the rest of the way through, it'll result in a pretty deflated feeling going into the season.
  7. Someone should tweet Roy Halladay to tell him to sweet talk his buddy Cliff Lee into considering Toronto this year.
  8. Henderson Alvarez non-tendered. Should the jays make a run for him?
  9. Would've preferred Justin Morneau over the return of Smoak.
  10. Ladies and gentleman, you 2016 Toronto Blue Jay starting rotation: stroman dickey estrada chavez hutchison
  11. David Price has removed all pics and banners of Toronto affiliation from his background and profile pic on twitter. Guess he doesn't want it to be awkward when he signs somewhere else to still have said effects.
  12. Who would like to see a Morneau/Colabello platoon at 1B come to fruition? travis donaldson bautista encarnacion tulowitzki morneau martin saunders pillar Canadian triple threat to round out the bottom of the order.
  13. So Shapiro arrives in office on Monday. How long do you reckon he will take to name a new GM? Meetings are next Sunday and it wouldn't bode well to not have a GM in attendance.
  14. I concur with liking Gibby as a person, but Francona at the helm would be awesome.
  15. Not too familiar with Morneau's status in Colorado, but if his option year doesn't go through and he elects free agency, what interest would the Jays have do you think? LH bat with good OBP to fit in at 1st (and of course he's Canadian...).
  16. Word out now (probably just media speculation) is that there is a disagreement on the amount of autonomy AA would be granted if he were to return. A deal has supposedly been tabled which is lengthy and pays well, but the breaker is to be if AA can accept being subordinate to Shapiro as to who has the final say on deals . Shi Davidi's article is the source of this otherwise baseless speculation, but you'd think something would have arisen by now, unless they plan a conference for Monday to officially introduce Shapiro and announce the AA extension
  17. I'm hoping that Dickey's contract option isn't picked up. Even if he is an innings eater, I'd rather see the starts go to a younger arm or Estrada
  18. Loup should be left off the roster for the world series if we advance and his family issues aren't resolved. Can't afford to have such uncertainty going forward. Hawkins should be left off too, but I doubt it happens.
  19. KC demonstrating proper bullpen management in this game. Gibby should take note.
  20. Signing Acetrada is more imperative than the prospect of Price resigning. If this postseason run doesn't qualify him him as able to heed the call then what will?
  21. If I were at this game I would run into the Toronto dugout and plead with Gibbons to not go through with what he looks to be planning. Someone needs to intervene.
  22. I'm gonna say Gibby is putting Price in just to jinx it and hope he doesn't. When he sets his mind on these things he seems to want to do them.
  23. Gibby has investments riding on this game and is shilling for Kansas city management due to his ties with the club from a couple years ago. This is the only explanation I can think of for this game. There's no way this is not intentional sabotage of the game.
  24. You know that we'll be getting Gibby's nonchalant attitude and smug answers in the media scrum. Would be a nice surprise to actually hear some accountability though.
