  1. I remember calling attention to the inherent bias in the calls from New York against the Blue Jays in prior series when there was something significant at stake and was roundly mocked. How do we feel after this series?
  2. Thank f*** we're back to the major league part of our hitting lineup.
  3. What difference does it make? It's the worst kept secret in baseball that Francona is taking over here next year anyway.
  4. Yes you're right according to Fangraphs: I was using the more dated MLB prospect organizational rankings.
  5. I really like the Reese McGuire and Harold Ramirez pick ups (8th and 9th ranked prospects on the Pirates); having an up and coming catcher in the farm system has been a real area of need for us with all the uncertainty surrounding Pentecost.
  6. Nice summary and agreed on Shatkins having seemingly pulled several rabbits out of something to make us better all round.
  7. Hill I get, but why Reddick? We just traded for Upton and he's only under contract for this year.
  8. Should we pinch hit for Carrera or Thole in the 9th? Maybe Saunders and Martin? Possibly Tulo for Barney?
  9. Yep. Devlin is f***ing s*** imo. I know some on here like him, but I find him to be the most monotone, deflating, boring f***er I've heard on Blue Jays sportscasts in a long time. I'd rather have Buck back, even if he is drunk half the time and doesn't remember where he is or who's playing.
  10. Maybe. But wow; you have to give credit to Shatkins for this one. We've got a serviceable 4th OF and maybe a bit more for comparatively very little money and a single class A prospect.
  11. Holy shite. Why would the Padres pay $17m of Upton's $22m just to jettison him? Is he that much of a cancer? Is Hansel Rodriguez that much of a prospect?
  12. Hoping for the win today to salvage something from Oakland and get back on a roll again. This team is certainly good enough to pick up where they left off before the ASB; we've had some tough luck the last couple of games.
  13. Unbelievable job by Schultz. Can we buy a run? Or just run the ump over with a Zamboni?
  14. All up to Carrera? Haven't we been here before?
  15. Incredible comeback. Now ffs, come on offense.
  16. Good thing he hit that out. Would have been called a strike otherwise.
  17. As a point of interest, could someone post up the strike zones for the ALDS game 2 when this clown called the game? It would be interesting to then compare that with today's strike calling.
  18. This is ridiculous. I've seen better pitch calling in Buffalo.
  19. You're right. Xenophobic would be a more apt word.
  20. Because no-one in the world is racist? I take it you are fairly young and have not seen much of the world?
  21. I understand your objection, but I don't think it's inconceivable that an umpire from New York who has not been friendly to us in the past might not appreciate the Canadian pride on display. I agree he's f***ing awful in general, but he might just have an anti-Canadian bias. It's not tinfoil hat territory IMO.
  22. I have no words. This umpire is out of control and f***ing awful.
  23. Yep. A New York ump saying f*** You Canada.
  24. And it is exactly calls like that and their reaction to protests which bring the game into disrepute.
  25. Goddamn ump hated all the Canada Day show and decided to f*** us over. What an *******!
