    I didn't think it would be possible but KC might be worse that Oakland in the next few days. Oakland has won 5 in a row and KC has lost 6. However Oakland plays TB next...sigh.

    Agreed on a lot of takes here regarding Atkins. Shapiro's patience with his lack of results is curious in a lot of ways. This past off-season they clearly veered off their previous course with a new direction of more defense and clearing out of some established players. Also the Montoyo -> Schneider ->? thing. Part of what they are doing seems like they are focusing on a chance at a title and part is giving a rookie manager a chance to prove what he can do... Not that they are diametrically opposed goals, just unlikely they can do both.
