  1. So why the fack did we put in Redmond instead of Osuna? Game was very winnable still...
  2. Cecil didn't blow anything...Loup blew it. He came in with the bases loaded no one out, probably without much warm up. If anything he might have lost confidence in throwing his curve with how Martin was catching it. Bottom line though, you cannot keep expecting guys to pull you out of the fire. 3 guys on 0 outs, a few runs are going to score a lot of the time. The BP minus Loup did just fine tonight.
  3. Stroman being injured is the only reason Sanchez is getting a look at starting. If he doesn't run with it here, I say he goes back to the BP rather than to the minors for another shot at SP. I see Sanchez's spot in the rotation either being taken by Trade, Santana, Estrada, Osuna (in order of preference).
  4. What would be a competitive (and realistic) offer the Blue Jays could put together for either? Not gonna happen at this point. We probably trade for a #3-#4 guy.
  5. Does that happen though??? I mean who would be willing to give up one of their SP when the season is young? Price would be high in terms of SP prospects going back. Judging by the fact Cole Hammels hasn't happened yet, I'd say it ain't happening after the season starts either. Baloojayz-87
  6. Sanchez weakens the rotation but seems to strengthen the pen. Everything else seems to have come together really nicely.
  7. Really you sat there and cringed?
  8. Even still, my comment had more to do with Sanchez and Castro being in the pen. Chickie Hines can gtfo for all I care.
  9. Cecil, Hynes, Loup, Sanchez, Castro. That's five very reliable BP arms. Considering we know what we have in Stroman for next year, a trade for #3-4 SP could very well be upcoming to push Sanchez to the BP and replace Buehrle next year. Castro when/if he's ready takes Dickey's spot.
  10. haha all your posts mention one of two things without fail 1) Blue Jays suck 2) AA is going to get fired This time you did both, way to go.
  11. How the hell does something like this happen though??? For the whole season? The ONE guy that we couldn't afford to lose, FFS.
  12. Pretty hard not to agree with everything except AA never being GM again... Stroman is a very tough loss to a rotation that looked weak even before he got injured. This is what things look like without any depth. Let's hope Martin can make Hutch an ace.
  13. Makes perfect sense actually. Seems to be the theme of the offseason including JD. Jose has carried this team the last few years, I think you give him a bit more leash and even expect him to be pissed. You don't tolerate s*** from minor role players.
  14. Clearly rattled with the non-call
  15. Lol worst place to advertise int it?
  16. f*** Lawrie, glad to be rid of him.
  17. Viciedo a 1B option? don't we have enough of those?
  18. Isn't this guy basically Juan Francisco that can play left? Id be pumped if I wasnt confused @ 2.5 M??? I thought we were out of cash...would have gotten a reliever for that. Casey Janssen??? Anyway I guess the Saunders injury scared everyone and something had to be done. Oh and lol btw Navarro and this guy thats 7.5 M = Lind...so much for saving cash
  19. Yeah.... but so was JD
  20. If he can find a way to get his OBP up, sure he could be dangerous on the bases with his speed, but thats a big if.
  21. f*** Saunders is such a loveable guy, so glad he will be back for opening day or close to it. Hopefully the guy has an injury free season for his sake, seems like a very selfless guy. Hope AA sees the devastation one injury can have on this lineup and acquires some more depth. Wonder how much it would take to get Altuve...
  22. Melky is not the better overall player, but he was the better player for us. Proven durable LF, solid bat in the two hole, and he was in a hitters park where his bat mattered more and his defence mattered less. I think Saunders going down actually could force AA to make another big trade, which could be the good that comes out of this. We have too many pitching prospects, could swing a Devon Travis type trade for a top outfield/infield prospect. Norris, Hoffman, and Sanchez are tradeable pieces imo.
  23. Cool, too bad Gibby would never think of that.
  24. Why would a team eat more than half of a players salary?
