    You gotta give Gibby credit, he has tried with Cecil and Storen, but has gotten burned so many times this year. Plus think of how devastating it would have been to lose this one up 6 runs at one point on a night Travis returned to the line-up and Martin hit 2 hrs when it's been a tough start to the season. It was a must win for the morale of the team.

    Obviously there is no problem using Girodo if you have a deep pen. Things turn to s*** very quickly with our pen and then there is no one to stop the bleeding. And it's not like we burned Osuna, he only threw 11 pitches.

    How are people forgetting how much the BP outside of Osuna sucks? Ffs Girodo just gave up a hr to the first guy he faced. This bp would give any manager a heart attack

    This is the last yr for contention hopes though, you'd think they'd do something esp. when it looks like BP pieces are the only big hole. Last yr this time we had holes EVERYWHERE.

    Watched all the games, not an expert, but you don't have to be to know the BJ bullpen sucks. It's not like the bullpen's problem is inherited runners and starting an inning fresh will do the trick.     You're probably just being a troll, but nevertheless in a tight game Osuna is the only BP arm I want to see. No reason to believe any of the other guys out of the pen are going to fare any better than the SP that made it through 7 innings.

    Pretty confident the hitting will find its groove, SP has been great, now can they please fix the BP? You got your closer, that's the tough part. How hard can it really be to find two more guys?

    Screw that, I want them to win. They are good enough to not care about what other teams or umps are doing and still win.

    As much as I want to defend them, our guys really are becoming a bunch of punks. If they just STFU and went about their business we would probably have a winning record right now. WTF is going on this season? Bitching at the umps, pulling guys legs at second, hard slides to take guys out, fights, suspensions?

    Yup 100% with you there. Also I think I should add Martin's performance this season has nothing to do with my post. I just see value differently and think it really sucks that we are gonna let JB and EE walk b/c of bad contracts. If you remember the Martin signing came out of nowhere and Navarro was pissed (he had a semi-decent year). That's 10M we could be using elsewhere (bullpen). AA thought he would fix the whole pitching staff by signing Martin.

    While many feel like we got scammed in the Dickey trade, I disagree. That's just how prospect trades go. The Martin signing however...we basically got excited with his ability to draw walks and frame pitches?
