  1. He hit 94 with the fastball, was encouraging to see after reports he lost 2 mph
  2. Travis and Barney are the reason why the offence is somewhat back on track. Goins and Tulo were a blackhole
  3. How about last season when Martin had a good series?
  4. We are pissed with Gibby's BP usage, but man what the hell is the point of having Betances Miller Chapman if they aren't the auto 7th 8th 9th inning guys in a close game, leading or not
  5. Idk I would be much more worried if his k/9 fell off a cliff
  6. Ill take it!!! wooooooooooooooooo He had an amazing year last yr, you think he just sux now ala Delabar? I believe!
  7. Oh far from it man, big fan, I never miss an Estrada start.
  8. Well also he has that Dickey inning where he can't find the strike zone.
  9. It's not like they knew nothing about him, especially Pete walker, prior to his return to the BlueJays. Right now he is exceeding expectations, why take the risk?
  10. I think Happ would get rocked if the tried to pitch like he did in Pits. Stro on the other hand, I really hope he goes back to throwing more 4seam, sinker, curve, he is a strikeout pitcher.
  11. Happ has been solid. I was in the same boat as Sid Seixeiro at the time of signing, looked like an AJ Burnett/ too small sample size with the Pirates/ NL etc.
  12. 5/11, approx 50% is pretty high actually. 5/20 is the s***** part.
  13. Yeah and with Sanchez and Estrada have solidified our starting rotation. Last year LMAO Our bats are off to a slow start this yr by the numbers, but you could argue we have a better lineup. We lost Colabello, but have Smoak for the yr. Tulo over Reyes. Saunders over all the trial and error players in LF. Travis over Goins. Martin is off to a similar start as last year. Numbers can be deceiving. Sure the pen so far has been terrible.
  14. For the reg season, this team on paper is a lot better than last year imo even with Price.
  15. Caught some highlights, another nice outing for Estrada. Really happy to see Storen gaining some momentum. Crazy how volatile BP's can be. If Storen continues what he's doing now, we're 1 piece away from a decent pen. Long relief Chavez Low to medium leverage Floyd, Biagini Medium to High leverage Cecil (when he's back), Storen, ________ Osuna
  16. I feel the reason he struggles (when he struggles) is he doesn't pitch well fundamentally (for a front end starter). He has too many tools and can't really use any of them reliably. Cutting out the cutter (for now) and 2 seam would be a huge change, but that is what he needs. Dotting corners with the 4 seam, curve/change/sinker---keep things simple for a bit. It makes no sense to look at his current pitch distribution and batting average against those pitch types when what he's doing now isn't working in the first place. Marcus Stroman's 2 seam can be very effective in strikeout counts. Currently he doesn't set it up properly. You watch his 2014 montage, that's all 2seam changeup Offspeed pitches become useless when you can't locate with your 4sm fastball. Same thing with the cutter. Basically more 4seam usage plz I know 2sm is not a strikeout pitch, I intended to say save it for a strikeout count.
  17. Between the pitching coach and Martin, I think they need to simplify things and take the 2sm out for a bit. Just 4sm curve/change for 3 games, that should set him straight. Then mix in 2sm as the strikeout pitch ONLY after 3 games.
  18. Nhl goalie diving comes kinda close
  19. Soccer is in its own league man
  20. Lets remind him why hes in the BP boys
