Happ could be the under the radar #2 starter we needed. Who knows how Zimmerman could have performed in the AL...could have been worse than Happ.

I think we need to realize that pitchers don't always want to come to Toronto because: 1. It's Canada and a lot of players prefer playing in the US 2. Rogers Centre can hurt a pitchers stats, thus hurting their next contract. It's not like FA pitchers are dying to sign with the Jays. Sometimes we need to take what we can get. We don't have the pick of the litter.

Rotoworld thinks we have a good rotation: The 33-year-old southpaw, helped by the tutelage of pitching coach Ray Searage, posted a 1.85 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 69/13 K/BB ratio over 63 1/3 innings down the stretch after a mid-season trade to the Pirates. Happ returns to Toronto where he previously pitched from 2012-2014. He adds another quality arm to the back of what is becoming a deep and talented starting rotation.
