    Liriano played well upon coming here and has 13m left as opposed to the 18 ish when we got him. If we were to trade a rotation piece which I don't want to, I'd rather it be liriano than the others

    It always sounds easy so easy as an armchair GM, but options are really limited. What do you do if Matt Joyce doesn't want to play here or someone else offers Desmond a 5 year deal. It will take a combination of free agent signings and trades to accomplish our goals in my opinion. It's not easy to get the perfect fits, and then you would head into trades if necessary of course, but we'll be in the drivers seat hopefully with money to spend, a 2 x in row Alcs team, and looking for imo a 1b, a rf and a lf platoon bat in a fa market that seems to have good options, some without long term, high AAV commitments
