  1. K..........................
  2. Until he has one good full season then you sell him high
  3. People don't want the player coming off one bad season?
  4. Tbh, I wish to never read/hear another person say we should be rebuilding again, it's dumb logic.
  5. Agree but counter-point: You also have some s***** ass contracts in Buehrle and Reyes
  6. As a counter-point: maybe we have some near-ready talent but we are also ranked roughly "middle of the pack" in terms of minor league talent
  7. I'm excited to watch the Jays next year just because there's some legit "exciting" talent
  8. P.S.> Good article on Fangraphs about this topic http://www.fangraphs.com/community/is-rebuilding-worth-it/ "Beyond these fairly strict conditions, rebuilding does not show up in the data to be a worthy pursuit." "From a baseball operations standpoint, selling patience to ownership over a three to five year period while the organization’s talent base gets rebuilt buys some time and job security. "
  9. Put your f***ing money on the f***ing table (not literally). Yes or No?! There's no middle-ground here (we are not the 2013 Red Sox). A rebuild typically takes 3-5 years. So would you rather wait 3-5 years for a potentially competitive baseball team or have potentially competitive baseball now.... there's no guarantees either way, and a rebuild carries risk of failure too, maybe just as much as whatever this organization is in the midst of doing now.
  10. Kinda reminds me of how the Blue Jays bailed out Miama....... no more massive Reyes / Buehrle contracts, and injury-prone hasbeen Josh Johnson
  11. I've heard some rumors and I can't imagine it happening but would the White Sox be shopping Chris Sale (in particular to the Red Sox)?
  12. http://www.boston.com/sports/columnists/wilbur/2014/11/with_ramirez_and_sandoval_the_red_sox_change_their.html
  13. Martin signing starting to look like not enough
  14. I don't blame them. He's a talented writer but the jury is still out on his ability as a sports columnist / commentator. He's acts like such a quivering little nerd when he's not telling great baseball stories.
  15. True, and I'm gifted at talking out of my ass.
  16. Honestly the shots at Dirk as a player are rather lame. Get over it.
  17. "What I mean to say here is this, during the off-season some fans think that if their team ties enough of it’s scrubs together, they can make a raft out of them and float it out into the trade ocean and swap it out for a yacht because, you know, bulk value." LOL, so funny because so many nub fans believe this approach will work
  18. This POV gets tiring fast.
  19. Lawrie is potential 3-5 WAR player for league minimum, do you understand anything?
  20. One word: clubhouse
  21. Man we're going to be totally spoiled next year with 3 exciting Canadians to watch in Lawrie, Martin, and Pompey!!
  22. Definitely. Blame the down-season on injury, great player.
