  1. I think in game 3 Tulowitzki should be moved down in the lineup to the number 8 spot, have Colabello at #5, Pillar at #6, Martin #7, Tulowitzki #8 and then Goins #9. Tulowitzki looks like Goins early in the season and unfortunately Goins looks like Goins early in the season.
  2. It would be great to see them just win the 3rd game and have a chance of going back to the Rogers Centre. I think the Blue Jays players will probably be more relaxed away from home. Now that Texas is expected to win the series, Texas will be the team under pressure to succeed; fans won't be happy if they start throwing the ball around for errors.
  3. As it turns out, throwing away a couple games late in the season could very well be the difference between going deep in the playoffs and not. What is really important is what team the Blue Jays played first; playing the wild card winner (Houston) seems like it would have been better for the Blue Jays. If the Blue Jays had of used some regulars for part of the 2nd game of the doubleheader in Baltimore and not have celebrated and been hungover for the 4th game in Baltimore then they might have won 1 of the 2 throw away games. If Buehrle hadn't been used in the final game... Gibbons referred to fans who thought that first place overall were "bozos in fantasy" land; unfortunately it might turn out that the bozos in fantasy land were right. Having players hungover during a game was unprofessional and showed that management wasn't ready to guide the team into the playoffs. Watching the first 2 games against Texas shows how jittery the Blue Jay players have been. It would have been better to play a weaker opponent and to have gotten their feet wet first before the next round against a tougher opponent.
  4. As much as I wanted him to be out, it appeared to me that Tulowitzki probably pushed him slightly with his glove. So if he was off by 1/2" for 1/20th of a second then that was likely the result of the force of Tulowitzki's tag. Tulowitzki didn't seem very upset by the result.
  5. One solution would be to extend video replay to balls/strikes. Allow two video replays of balls/strikes per 9 innings.
  6. The Blue Jays can replace an injured player. The replacement just has to be in the Blue Jays organization as of August 31st (they don't even have to be on the 40 man roster, but probably would be).
  7. Maybe Buehrle can pitch out of the bullpen. Or Hutchison.
  8. Game 3 will be fun to watch. If the Blue Jays win it they will have one more chance to get the series back to the Rogers Centre. Hoping for the Blue Jays to win 3 straight is a bit too much but I am just hoping the game or games in Texas will be entertaining and competitive (or better, blow outs by the Blue Jays).
  9. I think that the blue Jays were just too jittery to be effective.
  10. Texas played well the last two games. If the Blue Jays don't come back then there is a good chance that the Rangers will win the World Series.
  11. Martin isn't having good at bats. Pillar needs to be the hero.
  12. The ump isn't having a tough afternoon. This is just wrong, as in not honest.
  13. Good thing is that Hawkins probably won't have the jitters. Only 1.0 hr/9 over 20 years - http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/hawkila01.shtml
  14. Walk! Do it Edwin. A double will do it with 2 out. Bautista will be running on everything. Wow! That was hit hard.
  15. Bautista needs to be patient the pitcher is wild with anger.
  16. If the Blue Jays can win this game, I think they will get to the World Series. This Texas team is good.
