  1. Luck has nothing to do with it The bullpen does Close games are won when your bullpen closes games down and keeps you in games as well as protects small leads AA didn't acquire veteran relievers this off season and chose to go with the kids as well as believing that Cecil will do it all
  2. I wonder if his sister now shows up in an As jersey sitting in front row
  3. Mcgriff and Bautista played in very different eras A large part of Mcgriff's era, everyone was hitting 30-40 homeruns, it wasn't anything special. Juiced Balls, Juiced Players Bautista has had 5 good years at the MLB level, he led the MLB in homeruns 2 years and for 2 he was leading the league in homeruns before he got hurt. If Bautista had 5 straight 50 Homerun seasons he would be first ballot. Not saying that Bautista has a chance, he doens't his career started too late. Mcgriff in his era wasn't that special, and not the same level of player as Bautista
  4. Christ, in 1997 Mariners had Alex Rodriguez, Ken Griffey jr, Jay Buhner, and Edgar Martinez in the same lineup. They atleast won the division that year
  5. Wow did I get my answer. The Mariners had a team with AROD, Griffey and Edgar Martinez, all OPSING over .900 at the same time The finished the season 76-85 Wow just wow
  6. Did the Mariners ever have AROD and Griffey in the same lineup?
  7. Even more shocking, the only other close playoff drought is that of the Buffalo Bills http://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/3-longest-playoff-droughts-in-each-major-american-sport.html/?a=viewall The closest NFL team to Toronto. The Bills drought is still 6 years less than Toronto.
  8. So I heard The Toronto Bluejays now officially have the record for the longest playoff starved franchise in all of pro sports this includes NHL NFL NBA CFL and other pro sports
  9. Bautista career started too late
  10. Control is a pitchers ability to have the pitch go where he wants it to Command is the pitchers capability of throwing to different areas of the strike zone Am.I right?
  11. Yeah I am also surprised by Hendriks I thought he was a waste of space obv I was thinking about his failed starts last year
  12. That would be borderline catastrophic for the NHL
  13. Next superstar wasted Terrible news for NHL Should have fixed it like Sydney
  14. Its only been 2 weeks I would think ten years of history would be enough
  15. Plus he actually looks composed, even after he gave up the tying run, he didn't explode like Jansenn used to, closed out the inning and gave up a chance to win it.
  16. I don't trust AA to do anything after nothing was done when the Jays were leading the second wild card by 3 games at last years trade deadline. why would things be different this year. If the Redsox run away with the division, which they likely will, we will be up for a wildcard.
  17. You missed the sarcasm
  18. Bring him to the majors Another reliever needed
