  1. I just wished we wouldn't give up an asset to fill a hole that can be or could have been filled through free agency Looking back why the f*** were we not on Reddick. If we had to go 4/60 we should have done it. Is giving up an asset that much better. The problem with the current regime is that they are too stringent in their approach. I wouldn't be surprised if on March 1 our team hasn't changed from today. We could be in for quite a disappointment with Atkins telling us how payroll room can be used at deadline and Upton and Pompey being the corner outfielders. I wouldn't even rank our offense in the top half of the American league at this point. A lot is said about Pearce but dude has never been healthy. Every season he has had some issue why is 2017 going to be different? If he goes down who are we looking at then? Smoak and Upton getting 600 plate appearances. God forbid if Donaldson goes down we would probably be lucky to scratch 3 runs a night.
  2. Navarro will probably be resigned
  3. Unless the Redsox suffer a major injury or two I think we are ultimately in the running for a WC spot. I don't think at this point we are competing for a division
  4. I meant young starting pitching
  5. Well at least we can count on Shatkins not to give up starting pitching
  6. Oh I see So average hitter away from Coors Field then. I would expect him to be an average hitter Tulo had an OPS of .800 away from Coors and that's what he is now
  7. Funny thing is that his away numbers are significantly better than home which rules out Coors Field Effect unlike Tulo
  8. Was listening to at the letters Jays year in review. Had forgotten how horrible September was.
  9. Good on Shapiro to reject the Blockmon for Stroman deal.
  10. It'll be awesome when Liriano posts a 4 WAR season. All the recipes of success are there Contract Year plus Martin. Liriano could have a very good year, and Sanchez and Stroman can take a step forward as well. I am surprised by the lack of respect Sanchez gets. Late August we were talking about him winning the Cy Young
  11. Lol if we had any shots at getting Quintana I would just keep him. If you add him to this rotation you got something
  12. Without Martin we probably don't make the playoffs in either years. his impact is beyond the numbers Even at 20 Mil he is projected to provide surplus value
  13. I wouldn't even trade 5 years of Control of Travis straight up
  14. I would take a good bet that if healthy our rotation is good for 15 wins
  15. Zips on fangraphs. They have the rotation at about 15 WAR that's pretty good
  16. Really how many teams are getting more WAR from SS and Catchers then the Jays. The rotation is not the best rotation but I'd reckon after Boston and Cleveland you'd have a tough time finding on that generates more WAR
  17. Another Xmas alone.....well at least I'll have the satisfaction of knowing that I have so many friends here FML
  18. As pointed out Happ is probably the closest in terms of fair value. He is also under control for 2 years and projects pretty close to the same value maybe a bit less Though I doubt they could sell that to their fans
  19. I would rather let Pompey run with one of the spots and bring back Bautista. You still have Upton so Pompey could move to RF and Pearce as well. Bautista doesn't have to play RF everyday If you bring back Bautista then maybe you recover some of the Goodwill with the fans. You can always unload majorly at the deadline if things go wrong.
  20. Well we can't go into the season with what we have now that's for sure. I would hate to see the Outfield situation improved at the cost of our greatest strength
  21. Morales would still be out there or would have signed a 1 year deal. Beltran and Holliday both got one year deals and Napoli and Bautista are still out there
  22. We won't sign Bautista. Shatkins is crazy for picks. Internally they probably put that pick at 15-20 Mil who knows.
  23. For what Exactly what are you trying to create a last place team. Revere isn't a value add and hasn't been for a very long time
  24. 53-54 percent
