What an endlessly frustrating season. Shatkins has to share some of the blame here in keeping Montoyo around. This can't keep going on like this, by most reasonable metrics this should be a playoff team and yet this clueless curmudgeon keeps making dumbfounding mistakes with his pitching staff.

How? The Jays shut them down, but couldn't get a hit, and yet people are blaming Montoyo's bullpen management and the extra inning rule instead for splitting the DHer when they should've been able to sweep.

Blaming anything other than the offense going cold for the split DHer is disingenuous. They were lucky to split it in the first place.

The fact this game even got to extras with Berrios dealing like that is why they lost though. Team needs an off-day.
