I think there's a better chance of Imai signing with the Giants or Angels than the Yankees.

Why? That's a rather modest expectation for this offseason, especially with all the expiring contracts a year from now (payroll shouldn't be an issue).

He pitched like a 10-year vet with two cy young's under his belt in the postseason. It's a safe bet.

There's a high probability that Yesavage could match or surpass that number in his first full rookie season. Homegrown aces don't grow on trees, especially if you're the Blue Jays.

I wonder if Miami would be willing to accept Nimmala for Robby Snelling. I'd bet on a prospect like him having as big of an impact in the majors next year as any of the current SP free agents.

We do, but it's not worth decimating the farm system for a 1-year rental (after already trading a bunch of prospects at the deadline). I'd rather the FO make a big free agent splash and get someone like Imai instead.

What if the FO could swing a trade with the Cubs for Kevin Alcantara? He'd be the perfect replacement for DV when he leaves next offseason. Nimmala as the centerpiece should do the trick (if they're willing).
