    On Jaytalk,a fan suggested Delabar as the closer. Roger Lajoie agreed. He is the best looking bullpen pitcher right now-IMO.

    He lacks the confidence a good closer needs. He should no longer be expected to close,and be put back to his previous role,before it seriously f***s him up as a pitcher. Give somebody else a try,see how it goes.Someone with a mid to upper 90,s fastball.

    It would feel bad. If we were healthy going in it would be worse,but overall,it would say that the FO did something right. It would also depend if the FO was going to try and improve things going forward.

    I,m fine with Bautista speaking out,but did it have to be publicly? In retrospect,i would have rather he voiced it directly to AA,or Gibbons,because i,m wondering what impact or how it might have affected the other, less vocal players.Maybe it did maybe it didnt. Guys like Brett Hull,Jeremy Roenick were great for their game.Who is there is MLB today that has great quotes for the press? I,d like to know,because i cant think of anyone.The NHL players dont say anything anymore.

    Steve Simmons is one of the most irritating people ,and i,m sorry he is in the Toronto media. Cant stand him....never could.

    This also goes to show that Gibons already knows the limits of the FO,and so do the players. They probably knew before this trade deadline that nothing was gonna happen. Showalter is a better communicator as far as what his players are allowed to say,and how to act. IE Lawries tantrum,Pillars tantrum.

    In the N.L. we have Wash Stl Lad Pitt Sf In the A.L. we have Bal Det Laa Kc Oak Who cant/can win it all?Of all the teams? I would hate to see a Wash-Bal WS...YUK.If MTL doesnt get to win it all,then either should Washington. I wouldn,t mind Pitt because i have always liked them,but they wont,not with Martin hobbled. StLouis would be okay to win because they are a professional organization ,that winning baseball championships,means something to them.

    1.I would trade managers in a second.Showalter is simply a better manager. 2.We lost our best defensive player early in the season,and for way more games compared to them and Machado. 3.Their overall team defense is better than ours,and hasn,t dipped significantly since Machado went down.

    Reading this thread was way more entertaining than watching the press conference would have been.Not that i ever do watch it. Now i have no f***ing idea what the f*** is going on,or what the f*** is going to happen.LOL IMO-it basically boils down to bad injuries at the worst time,and not being able to overcome or deal with it,with any depth,and it all goes back to the hockey deal. The 92-93 teams had money.This team has to rely on luck to win. I,ve seen this too many times now.We have been so close for so long,and its wearing me down.LOL There should also be a presser for Rogers officials on what is going on. Hope for the best.

    If Cleveland doesnt lose Swisher...hmm... who knows. I,m over Gomes.Its too bad we had to let him go.Dont even know why that was. I would love it if Seattle finishes tied with Oak,And KC.

    Watch the O,s win the whole thing now ,after DJ congratulated them on getting to the post season in Yankee Stadium.LOL I was also glad about our callups getting to play against DJ in NY,and getting to interact with him etc.I predict Pompei will surely benefit from that experience.

    Its totally cool! Its like looking at the past,and present at the same time.Jeter is just like those Yankees from another era. Mantle,Ruth,Gehrig,DiMaggio,Maris etc... Jeter is one of them now.How soon will it be until he is in monument park with the rest of them? Thanks Derek!

    I hope both him and Dickey stay. 200 plus innings each,and never missed a start,either of them. Great guys in the clubhouse,all the players love them etc..
