  1. Its honestly not over. Jays will go on runs in august September And win this division. Take my word
  2. I predict a reliever is going somewhere in a deal maybe Santos or mcgowan
  3. I dont understand something. Based on Xfip a line drive and a weak grounder is the same thing? I dont think it is
  4. Right. I'd start by grabbing Soriano and getting rid of Glenn. And i wouldn't wait either, I'd want him in Anahiem
  5. I dont look forward to a rebuild. A rebuild could destroy baseball in this city. Already people in Toronto are making fun of the Jays, next time Jays are leading at the end of June, people just wont believe
  6. yeah it makes sense for the Yankees and if there was a similar deal that the Jays could have made then it bothers me that Alex didn't do it I Suspect he didn't know about it. He is very out of touch.
  7. What no He had .900 OPS vs. Lefties last year, How is that a NO 13.5 of his 18 is paid by the Cubs, leaving about 2-3 left for the rest of year. He can still hit lefties
  8. Trust me those peripherals are misleading, he cant use his cutter for strikes. Ive watched him pitch, he isn't getting it over. Those hits are not bad defense, his fastball isn't moving, and he is getting pounded. Again if he has that problem figured out good on him, but breaking pitches travel a long way in Yankee Stadium However I will agree its a great move for the Yankees. They didn't give up much, and now get a possible key player
  9. I respectfully disagree. I don't think he is a good pitcher. Average yes, a great arm, yes, 4th guy on a championship team maybe. Good to me is defined as higher than above average. McCarthy's bread and butter was his cutter, and this year he has lost its use. Which means that all the time he used to go that cutter now he is going to the fastball, which is getting whacked. If he has his cutter back good on him, if he doesn't he wont last long in the ALEast
  10. I think people should be happy that the Yankees have "made their move" and their move aint much. McCarthy is decent but he ain't much. I hate comments like bad defense has hurt him. This guy has a whip around 1.40 for two years now, thats a damn high sample size. He gets a lot of men on base, and unlike the NL the pitcher spot wont help him. I am not saying he will be bad for New York, I am saying that he wont help the yankees much. As for Nuno, I cant believe the negative opinions on this guy. I see him in the Diamondbacks rotation for years.
  11. Honestly McCarthy isn't that good, I wouldn't pick him over Happ right now. I get the overstated ERA thing, but this guy has given up 131 hits in a 109 innings, He will not last long in the AL East
  12. Boys and Girls you must have faith in these Jays. Look, I am not a smart man or a clever one, but when this season started I knew right away that it was going to be a special one. I know its very difficult to believe when nothing is going right, and it seems like its the darkest of the darkest nights. But hold on. They will come back from this, The Toronto Blue Jays will WIN the AL East this year. I know it in my heart, and it is a fact to me as much as existence of the Sun. We have to have faith that whatever happens, it is all going to work out for the best. I cant tell you how, but that's why you have to walk by faith and not by sight. I know it sounds corny BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE FAITH! YOU GOT TO BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. mark my words. You will see a playoff game in toronto this fall It will happen
  14. You have to have faith. They will pull through and win this division. Trust me
  15. The only saving grace is that the run differentiation. To me that is the number I look at.
  16. If they crash now, they will be the laughingstock of Toronto. The Naysayers will have a field day
  17. ^ I cant see Texas trading Beltre. If they are really selling, I would trade the farm for Beltre and Darvish. They can have anyone not on the 25 man roster.
  18. Shark is overrated anyways. Still better than Dickey. I think we gave up just as much for Dickey as this trade
  19. He is not an upgrade over Mastro. Anyone is an upgrade over Glenn This is not how you win baseball games.
  20. Depressing news. Is this guy going to take Glenn's place, Expectations: will waste another 20AB, and will do nothing Life goes on. Instead of acquiring proven bats, acquires another scrub Career wise this guy is worse at hitting LHP than RHP
  21. No I don't think they will make a move They are facing Lefties 4 out of next 5 games. The only one they have a chance of winning is against Brad Mills, That is if he is still starting or if its Shark or Hammell I cant see this team in its current state beat a LHP
  22. AA needs to address the hitting problem first. Cubs are insane if they are asking for Stroman for Shark. Heck both Stroman and Hutch are better pitchers than Shark TODAY. In my opinion at least. Go out there, and get a right handed infielder. Stop waiting around, or we will be on some kind of losing streak. Team needs a desperate shot in the arm
  23. It Changes the Dynamics of the lineup to have him in there. Francisco goes to the bench as a pinch hit lefty, Bautista goes back to right, and all of a sudden you bring back Kratz up, and this is a powerful lineup against lefties again. I also think its time to do away with Francisco. This guy is taking up a roster spot, and man he ain't doing much. It was nice to see him have his moments in the sun, but he wont be doing much anymore I can you that.
