  1. Lowe was a really bad pickup, the guy isn't going to maintain his performance the rest of the season.
  2. Here comes Lowe to blow the game and begin his regression.
  3. Colabello is officially below replacement level now, he's a liability at this point.
  4. Too bad AA didn't get a new manager at the deadline too. Gibbons is one of the biggest reasons the Jays have been underachieving.
  5. And 1 team to sign a FA. Before the season started, one of the biggest needs, if not the biggest, was an improved bullpen/closer. Had he just made some moves for the bullpen instead of wasting the development and experimenting with Castro and Osuna we would have saved at least 2-3 wins minimum. Everyone on this forum knew that. Also, I can't see how anyone can strongly approve of the job of AA when he has Gibbons managing the team.
  6. We all knew the holes before the season started, if they were addressed earlier we would be playing for the division instead of the wild card right now.
  7. Since last voting: Record: Jays have gone 7-6. (52-51, 3rd, 6GB, 2GB 2nd WC) Acquistions: Signed Joba Chamberlain Signed Phillippe Aumont Acquired Tulowitzki and LaTroy Hawkins for Jose Reyes, Jeff Hoffman, Miguel Castro, Jesus Tinoco. Acquired David Price for Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd and Jairo Labourt. Acquired Mark Lowe for Nick Wells, Jacon Brentz and Rob Rasmussen. Acquired Ben Revere + Cash for Alberto Tirado and Jimmy Cordero Traded Felix Doubront for Cash Past Results of voting: July 12th: Record before July 12th's games: 45-45, T-3rd, 3.5GB, 3.5GB of 2nd WC 90 Votes (1-20-26-27-16) 1% Strongly Approve, 22% Approve, 29% Neither Approve/Disapprove, 30% Disapprove, 18% Strongly Disapprove 23% Approve, 29% Indifferent, 48% Disapprove Overall: 3.41 voting scale, so somewhere between neither approve/disapprove and disapprove.
  8. Not a good trade, guy is going to regress soon.
  9. Someone buy Arash some hair concealer, dat bald spot is bad.
  10. More like the chance to play one game.
  11. Don't care about Norris, guy spent the off-season f***ing around in a van instead of training. Alford on the other hand.... For 10-11 starts and higher than 50% chance of still missing the playoffs. Horrible deal.
  12. Norris and Alford + for 11-12 starts for Price and missing playoffs? No thank you.
  13. Getting Dickey back?
  14. This is a trade that has a small impact on the short and long term, but it's not enough to hint they are going for it this year. It's a trade that basically gives AA more job security, as he's not going to get fired after bringing in one of the highest profile players in the game. This trade buys AA more time. Do I think it's a good trade? Of course I do. It does carry some risk, but the reward is worth it. We also gave up a bit, but you can't get anything for free these days, especially a player of Tulowitzki's calibre.
  15. Injuries are part of the game, but the Jays seem to have had a lot of problems over the years. Time to get a new medical staff.
  16. Can Kevin barker be included as the 3rd player?
  17. I thought the other 2 players would be Wolfe and Albers.
  18. Same s*** will happen as usual. The trade deadline will come and go and the Jays will do nothing. Barry Davis will have an interview with AA and he will say there was dialogue with teams, but not enough to make a deal happen. Then it goes back to the studio and Campbell informs the audience that the non-waiver trade deadline has passed, but deals can still be done through waivers.
  19. 3AM in NB. Won't sleep now because I'm pissed. Not staying up for these idiots again.
