  1. Justin Smoak for third base coach. Russell Martin for manager. Dante Bichette for hitting coach.
  2. Blue Jays also happen to have the #1 bullpen in the MLB by fWAR.
  3. There was a rumour that the Pirates wanted Rowdy Tellez + prospects for Joe Musgrove but the deal fell through. Can’t confirm source though.
  4. Yankees also stood pat at the deadline and missed out all opportunities to improve their rotation. Atkins just sunk Cashman’s battleship.
  5. What’s disappointing is he’s making the same bone headed base running and defensive mistakes as our kids, when he should be leading by example. He looked awful but I’m willing to give him some rope. It can’t be easy to play against your previous team immediately after being traded.
  6. Rockets vs Thunder. Who advances?
  7. Hope Brewers win
  8. lmao Rowdy’s interview
  9. Okay it’s not THAT bad.. not yet.
  10. He’ll fit right in with this club
  11. Whistles were heavily in favor of green shirts. Raptors home court advantage non-existent inside the bubble. There’s some truth behind NBA playoffs is all about star power, as they get more whistles than everyone else. Our guys played hard tonight. But 12 point lead in the 3rd and basically couldn’t score much after that. When the 3s aren’t dropping, this offense is severely neutered. It’s like they’re allergic to the basket and keep running the same P&R play top of the key. Tough to watch.
  12. They didn't feel a need to go ALL-IN and trade away top prospects to win this year. Save those bullets for next the two years if this team is for real (90+ win team). Add in free agency and cleanup some of these little league mistakes before they contend for real. The talent in this lineup is pretty good, they just need some experience under their belt and possibly add another elite bat to extend the batting order. It definitely sounds like they investigated every possible trade candidate. I'm actually quite okay with Stripling & Ray instead of Musgrove.
  13. Starter that throw electric stuff, suddenly asked to throw strikes will produce good results. Who knew? Robbie Ray looked good in his Blue Jays debut. He just has to keep it simple: Throw strikes and trust the defense behind you. Ray struck out 235 batters last season without pinpoint location. You don't need to dot corners when the stuff is that good coming from the left side. Keep the walks reasonable and everything else takes care of itself.
