  2. This offense went from bottom 5 to top 10 after Bo Bichette’s debut last season. We just saw this offense play toe to toe with the Red Sox lineup, which was no fluke. Their rotation is a mess but their lineup is still very strong. We also went from a team that had 21 different starting pitchers last season, reaching all the way down to the independent leagues for starts, to now a solid mix of veterans and young pitching depth: Ryu Pearson Shoemaker Roark Anderson Thornton Borucki Kay Hatch Yamaguchi Murphy Waguespack SRF Zeuch
  3. Nate Pearson on the taxi squad means he gets to follow the team on road trips but won’t earn service time. I guess it’s better than sitting in Buffalo for a week. Both Thomas Hatch and Shun Yamaguchi could play a key LR role, or as piggyback starters.
  4. Are we allowed to post sensitive videos like manslaughter?
  5. Episode 43: There Definitely Might Be Baseball This Year https://bit.ly/3hsKx7D Episode 44: Navigating the Road Ahead From Our New Austin Martin https://bit.ly/2WMlsNm Episode 45: Baseball RETURNS! =D https://bit.ly/2CJIugK
  6. It’s just so ironic a day after the President of the Pirates makes this statement, the state government would come out and revoke any help to the Blue Jays.
  7. Both Mookie and Trout would have to be worth @4 WAR per year for their whole contract to be worth it. But based on their age and performance, they could reach the contract value after 6 years. Trout alone has averaged @ 170 wRC+ for eight years in a row.
  8. The owners would push this agenda in the CBA regardless if it gets implemented in 2020, there’s just too money to ignore. It may not expand to 16, but certainly more than 10. Which means there will be an overhaul to the WC structure and postseason format. I’d probably support a 12-14 team postseason, which is near the baseline of not allowing a team in with a losing record.
  9. It’ll be a close race for AL CY Young this season with opening day starter Tommy Milone on the mound for the O’s.
  10. Bitmoji-man says they’re making a last ditch effort to include expanded playoffs. Let’s see.
  11. Didn’t get the same amount of juice on the second throw (Pillar’s AB), but nice effort.
  12. Bo Bichette that was ridiculous even for you
  13. 6 days to "polish his command"
  14. Classified as a 68.8 mph changeup by statcast but it looked like a curveball.
  15. Thornton looks pretty sharp Edit: 69 MPH curveball, where did that come from? Completely random, had good movement too. Greinke-esque. Not sure if it was an accident.
