  1. RF for 8 innings, closer for 9th inning. Better than a DH.
  2. We have pitching. And I like pitching.
  3. Episode 46: HatchBuckets - The New Brangelina https://bit.ly/3hVKsK3
  4. Danny Jansen also had a similar streak

  6. - Early season review & Vlad struggles - Is Charlie Montoyo dangerously incompetent? - opinions on cutouts vs. empty seats and fake crowd noise - new extra innings rule - how bad is the Blue Jays bullpen? - Blue Jays Secret Starter: Hatch Buckets - breakout outfielders - Potential for Brandon Drury? - Nate Pearson's debut & rookie season predictions This was one of the most fun episodes we’ve recorded recently.
  7. Even if Gibby wants to come back, will Shatkins let him back? They seem to be the type that wants to hire and succeed with their own guy, just to prove a point. They never seem thrilled about Gibby to begin with.
  8. Ryu is pitching and Bichette is back, we got this.
  9. I thought winner gets a reward not a punishment.
  10. Yep. Expecting a rookie with 11 ABs to win you the ball game against Max Scherzer is probably a bad idea. If it was a must win situation he would be pinch hit for and I’d check to see if Bichette was healthy enough for 1 AB. Montoyo is treating it like spring training and developing time.
  11. It’s clear Montoyo was never brought in to win us a championship, he’s here for player development and we’re technically still rebuilding. Expanded playoffs gives us a chance to be competitive but doesn’t change the fact we’re thinking a year or two ahead of schedule like the Braves when they made the playoffs. Our core only has one season under their belt. Wait until we make one or two more real free agent splashes (e.g. Trevor Bauer), our kids gain another year of experience, and Groshans, Martin, Kirk, Simeon, Manoah arrives from the farm system. At that time we’re closer to being a real 90 win team.
  12. Replace Henke & Ward with Gaviglio & Yamaguchi
  13. Can you still pitch? Scherzer: Yes. Is your arm going to fall off? Scherzer: Not yet.
  14. MAPLE GILES 99MPH wowsers
  15. Those bottom off-the-plate strikes were sliders.
