    Do you think that is fair market value for him? Dude only made 2.9 mil last year that why this qualifying thing is kinda ******** really? How does this help teams especially with limited payrolls, bogus! I think he should be happy with 5.8 to 8 mil on a 2-3 year deal and be happy! f*** who gets a raise of double to almost 5-6 times what they were paid? Hands up? Lol

    We will not be spending a lot of money for a back up catcher not while paying what we do for Martin. Spanky and me already decided on Jeff Mathis for the job. Hits Lhp, best year was as a jay and might be willing to come here, plus probably will cost 2 mil or under to boot. As we have greater needs and money needed elsewhere to plug holes!

    i never said he was a utility player, i want him at first base playing for us. But he can spell at other positions which only adds to his value, one would think. JD at 3rd, Tulo at SS and Devin Glassass at 2nd, he becomes a person of interest and worth exploring as a option for us.

    now that the off season is here, lets Revisit trading with Colorado as i suggested as it would seem wise and we have a want for left hand batters and it fits financially for both teams! how close does something along the trade lines of this get us,close? Pillar, Upton and one of Alford or Pompey Smoak and Rowdy and one of Liriano or Happ its a start, how close? would you do it? Whoops !!! added just because Spanky is a stickler for details.... For charlie blackmon and Carlos gonzalez but of course!!!!
