  1. He's fine taking the 10-14 foot shot its the shots outside of 16 feet but in front of the 3 point line that drive everyone nuts. He has a lot of talent but his Basketball IQ limits how good he is.
  2. I would rather have Ties after the 5/10 Min OT than the current system. Gives more incentive to win the game. Agree that they need to go to 3 points for Regulation Wins. Also the Standings needs to be ordered by Point %. Its ridiculous the Bruins have played 5 more games than other teams in their division yet are *ahead* in the standings.
  3. I'd rather have a player who can hit a 2 Out 3 Run HR instead of hit a single only to have Morales move up to 3rd and Tulo to 2nd
  4. His batted ball authority showed he got pretty lucky IIRC. I also don't think he should be counted on to play 2nd at all. Outside of 150 Innings in 2014 he hasn't played there since 2010 and given his defensive numbers at 3rd I don't want him playing 2nd. If he's going to be playing the majority of his time at 1st he won't be an average player either. If you can get him for $5 Million then sure thats not bad but I can't see him coming to Toronto to be a platoon 1st baseman. Rather get decent outfielder.
  5. JV needs to be better defensively. Nets had 38 points in the paint.
  6. I think the Raps would be just fine without Derozan. You give his shots to more efficient shooters like Lowry, Ross, Carrol etc.. Without Lowry this team finishes bottom 10.
  7. ? You can have different angles to a swing which allows you "to keep the bat in the zone longer"
  8. I actually am against signing Valbuena. He's a league average bat who would be getting almost all of his PA at 1st base. A lot of his value is being able to play 3rd but with how durable Donaldson has been I think Barney is fine for the 5-10 games he doesn't start at 3rd. And signing Valbuena means Pearce plays mostly the OF. I'd rather Pearce play 1B where he's a clear plus defender and go out and get a decent OF.
  9. You can have a swing plane that allows your bat to stay in the zone longer without it being a "slow swing"
  10. Given glut of teams at 84 Wins they really need an upgrade at LF.
  11. Interested to hear about the mutual options.
  12. West Texas had it before anyone! Although that might be bad for his job if people actually found out about it on here.
  13. Aren't they calling him a non prospect because of the bat speed?
  14. So punting their entire IFA bonus for Vlad seems to have worked out nicely.
  15. If thats true good for Toronto BP. To get the scoop before big National Writers it should really help their platform.
  16. Well thats not exactly assuring.
  17. Wouldn't a national writer have a source on the inside? Like wouldn't SN just get prepared anyway? Or has every time you have had to do something like this it actually happened?
  18. He also is projected to be pretty bad. I don't think he's a clear upgrade over what the blue jays currently have.
  19. Shot 62% from the field and held that Cavs to 34%. Dominate on both sides of the ball. Lol best stat of all might be the Warriors had 3 FT attempts in the first half.
  20. Like they just dropped 78 points in the first half on the NBA champions. That last sequence was ridiculous.
  21. This might be the best I've seen the Warriors play. NBA is the best sport to watch entertainment wise when you get the 2 best teams playing.
  22. Not Bautista related but Scott Boras in on Fan 590 right now.
  23. True but I'll say 2018 is still going to be tough to have a playoff team. Yankees and Red Sox will be ahead of them by a good margin. Tulo, Martin, Donaldson all a year older with 2 holes in the rotation. Stroman, Sanchez, Osuna, Donaldson all will have large raises in arb. Maybe Rogers will give them $200 Million, who knows.
