  1. The city charges a 9% amusement tax which can cover that.
  2. Santa Maria!!!
  3. This tournament is amazing. Only thing is they could start the games earlier. Pretty late for the people on the East Coast.
  4. Jones would have had that lol..
  5. What a catch
  6. Lucroy's framing has been s***. Not sure if its because he isn't used to the pitchers or not but he has been brutal catching breaking balls.
  7. My god Jose Reyes is terrible.
  8. Tournament has been fantastic so far.
  9. Slider is flat. Even that last flyout carries out in the summer.
  10. Molina bailed them out
  11. Beeston was the one who fought for the no blackouts apparently and we all know how much money he left on the table during his tenure so I wouldn't say Rogers thought it was best that people used MLB.TV to grow their brand.
  12. Lol people don't realize the whole point of a business is to maximize profit. Rogers was leaving lots of $ on the table by allowing this. TBH get a VPN and you can still use MLBTV, there are easy ways around it..
  13. Yeah it does because SN is broadcasted across the nation. The whole point of the blackout isn't to get more fans in the stadium but to force people to pay for Roger's Television packages and make more $.
  14. Makes sense to back it out. They've left a ton of money on the table by letting people get MLBTV to watch the games.
  15. Nice job by Osuna. And by Agon for telling the catcher to switch up the signs. Clear the guy at 2nd bases was tipping pitches.
  16. Venezuela coming back. 11-9 with the bases loaded 1 out. Mexico is like Coors on steroids lol.
  17. Leafs fans are the absolute worst. When they come to Ottawa they always start fights/throw beer and stupid s***.
  18. Good thing starting with runners on first and second speeds up the game.. Lol
  19. Never had any issues. Hell I've walked through the Bronx to Yankee Stadium from the Hotel wearing my Jays gear with my GF (could tell we weren't from there ) and everything was fine. Though I wouldn't recommend it late at night. Almost everyone loves Canadians since we are so harmless.
  20. More like 35K dominicans. I was at the game and felt like I was in a different country.
  21. I find the big difference is the Latin American teams cheer super loud in anticipation while Can/USA fans cheer based on the results. It would have been cool to see the support for Cuba and Puerto Rico had they played in Miami. Saw a ton of Puerto Rico hats in the crowd during the weekend.
  22. Just got back from the USA Domincan game. I've been to all the Blue Jays playoff games the last 2 years and a bunch of great regular season games but that game was definitely up there. I'd say top 3 with only the Wildcard and ALDS game 5 topping it and thats as a Jays fan. 100% was the loudest game I've been to. The DR fans are awesome.
  23. Team USA could have been: C Posey 1B Goldschmidt 2B Turner SS Seager 3B Donaldson LF Bryant CF Trout RF Betts DH Harper/Stanton SP Kershaw, Syndergaard, Scherzer
  24. Nothing stops you from doing this now. You'd potentially run into problems though as brokers have tickets listed on other platforms so while they could go unsold on stubhub they could be sold on a different site that doesn't go off the board as early as stubhub does.
