  1. Who are some good value guys to get for tonight?
  2. "You must have resided in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before you apply. This does not apply to children under 18. You may be able to count time you spent in Canada before you became a permanent resident if it was during the past four years." http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp
  3. I thought the Blue Jays prices were horrendous but where can you get a Yankees seat for 24$?
  4. As bad as Navarro is at pitch framing I can't see the Blue Jays getting rid of Navarro.
  5. So since I had a flex pack the Blue Jays offerered the chance to buy playoff tickets in the event that it happened..For shits and giggles I thought I would see how much they cost. For 500 level seats to the ALDS is $120 each, ALCS $240 and World Series $500. You put Blue Jays fans through 20 years of mediocrity and then charge 200$ a seat for the crappiest seats at the dome? Seems fair.
  6. Yes I did mean that.. Also its at 3.4;)
  7. You're not replacing Happ with Jenkins. You are replacing him with Sanchez/Norris/Nolin. So if you think out of those 3 guys you can get a number 5 starter having Happ for 6.7 is a waste of money when you can better use it towards a 2nd baseman or Melky or whatever upgrade this team needs.
  8. Question is do you rather have Happ at 6.7 or Sanchez/Norris at 500k? Might be better off using that money for Happ towards the OF and 2nd base as well.
  9. If anything it tells you there hasn't been any injuries to the rotation outside Morrow. Knock on wood....
  10. For sure. Going to need a lot of luck to get within 2-3 games in the next week and a half.
  11. So Buehrle now has put up 3 WAR and is 34th among SP with at least 140 IP in ERA in the MLB. If they want to unload that contract I don't think you really have eat any money. There should be a team that will take an almost guaranteed 2.5-3 RAR WAR for 19 million.
  12. Why don't you like Stroman? He has 4 or 5 average or better pitches that will keep hitters off balance and make up for his lack of height. Getting lots of groundballs recently with the new 2 seamer as well.
  13. Doesn't he have to be here for at least 3 years to become a citizen? If he reclassifies for 2015 he will spend less than a year in Canada, no?
  14. Well looks like the jays will still be 4.5 games back. thats why its so hard to make up ground in the WC. They probably have to win 4 of the next 6 just to have a chance.
  15. A Norris step away is like a <5% chance though.
  16. Funny that no one ever mentions JA Happ. If you are going into the season with JA Happ in the rotation and you trade Buehrle along with 5 million you may as well keep Buehrle and get rid of Happ. Does he have any trade value with the option being picked up at 6.7? What would he even get on the open market, 2/15?
  17. To be fair that was the bot 9th with the team losing. Im still willing to bet there less than 5000 people at the game at any point in time.
  18. I think people are overestimating how much Melky gets in the offseason especially in the media. Iv heard guys on PTS throw around Choo money which is not going to happen. Choo was coming off a 5 win season and had a track record. Melky will have the QO and the steroid past will limit his market. I can see him getting 4/65 but not much higher than that.
  19. Don't really need to blow it up. You can go into the season and if they falter trade off guys at the deadline and still get value in return that would be comparable to this offseason. There is a health risk but for how long this team hasn't won, I think you have to take a shot and get to the playoffs. This team could be a real contender if they were to spend 165 million but we know that won't happen.
  20. Sure they could afford him with having Cabrera leave and going in to 2015 with no 2nd baseman. It comes down to do you want Morrow at 7 million or do you use those funds to improve 2nd base or CF. They have good SP depth with what they have right now so Morrow isn't really the best fit.
  21. Morrow on a 7-8 million$ deal would be a waste for how this roster is constructed. You can't pay 7 million for a lottery ticket when you need to use available funds on more sure things to help the team win as many games as they can.
  22. He also makes Stroman a lot better when he pitches behind him to the same team. You can add about a win over the course of the season for the knuckleball effect. Getting around 2.5-3 wins for 12 Million is pretty good value. The only negative is you do have to carry Thole who is terrible.
  23. He's the guy I would trust when it comes to velocity because he scouts the games sometimes and charts pitchers. On twitter he said the change was mostly flat and curve was average but that it wasn't his best outing.
  24. What are the chances it ever comes back to that when he is only throwing mid 80s this far removed from TJS?
  25. Crazy to think a highschool in Orangeville would be in the top 100 let alone 3 for basketball in North America..My buddy lives in a town 10 min away and went through the town a few times. Had no idea they would develop basketball players.
