    Casey keeps the same startling lineup after the team has started off like a disaster for what seems like 5 games in row.

    I've heard he's confident but doesn't really enjoy the game. He plays hard but he can get too down on himself which I guess means he goes into longer slumps? I don't know what that really means in the longrun.

    If we keep backloading these deals the team will have no money to spend in the next 2 seasons. The Canadian Dollar at around 80 cents is going to limit the money the team can spend in 2016 and beyond.

    Honestly, I didn't mind the signing. 10 million isn't much and he had some pretty good years in the past. He wasn't expected to be THAT bad.

    Even if it did max out the budget it was a great signing. Improved the team more than it could have anywhere else.

    I think Masai only gave him the contract extension because the players like him and the team had one of the best seasons ever in the franchise. IIRC when he talked about Casey he said he still needs to improve on some things like everybody else and that he just wants the team to grow. I don't think Masai would have a problem firing Casey if he thinks its what the team needs to go to the next level.

Casey likes his bigs to be be able to help and hedge on the PnR but with JV he isn't mobile enough to do that, so thats why he doesn't "trust" him.
