  1. seems like he has quite the uppercut swing. I wonder if those flyballs are hard contact or if he just doesn't strikeout because he is hitting weak flyballs.
  2. His fastball is terrible. All the hitter has to do is sit on it and they will get an easy pitch to hit.
  3. Estrada is gonna be out of the game by the 3rd at this rate. His fastball has zero movement and isn't fooling anyone.
  4. Green Monster gives a lot of HR and takes away a lot of doubles.
  5. I feel like removing umps in favour of the computer would be a bit too drastic. An easier solution would be to install a system like what they have in Tennis where you get a certain number of challenges. If a team challenges that specific strike you look at the Jumbotron where a pitch tracker comes up and says whether or not it is a strike or not. It would only take 10-15 seconds not like the replays that they do now. I think a system like this would help the umpires more than anything because they would have to call the strikezone by the book and they can't say "I call the outside strike" even though its not an actual strike.
  6. Koji Uhera wears such a massive glove lol. Thing is half the size of his body.
  7. Bucholz had more swing and misses in those last 2 Abs than Dickey in the last 2 starts.
  8. Dickey now has K rate of 4.12/9IP and a BB rate of 3.92/9IP on the season.
  9. Is Dickey done? If the dropping strikeout rate is real he is going to be in some real trouble.
  10. If you just look at a random pitcher pitching that day he likely has some sort of substance on his arm. I've noticed it on a lot of pitchers lately.
  11. I don't want my 82 million catcher catching 3 games in a weekend when he's already taken a beating behind the plate.
  12. You rarely if ever see Catcher's catch all 3 games of a weekend series when there are afternoon games.
  13. I'm saying in general. Thole is decent defensively which makes up for the difference in the bat between them and I'm taking the defense from a Catcher.
  14. Well he didn't get a K last game and this game it seems like Red Sox aren't missing either. Maybe the Sox have figured him out.
  15. I'd rather Thole then Navarro...Most backup catchers are pretty bad offensively.
